Q: 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sagging from new bumper,winch and rear bumper?
I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler x. I have a fabtech 3 inch budget lift that uses 3 inch spacers to lift it and a few other things but it uses stock springs. Im adding a front bumper with a winch and a rear bumper with a tire carrier. Many have people have told me my lift will start to sag and wont be as hight. How can i fix this? The only option i have though of is adding new coil springs but i dont want to waste my money for nothing. Any suggestions on other ideas or a set of coil springs that would lift my jeep to where it is now?
A: The other guy is totally right(Destroyer?) I see people do this all the time at our garage and i wonder why oh why do they do it that way. Use the good springs,( Coil over) good brand and sell the spacers to someone with a crappy Jeep not a 2010. Look if you spend 20 some thousand on a new truck anyways put the money in it to do it right.

I just bought my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited yesterday with 10 miles on it direct from factory. RIght above my compas and temprature reading blinks CAL. Any thoughts?
A: Manually calibrate the compass as follows:
NOTE: Do not attempt to calibrate the compass near large metal objects such as other vehicles, large buildings, or bridges; or, near overhead or underground power lines.
1. Start the engine but leave the vehicle in “PARK” .
2. Depress the STEP button for approximately 10 seconds until the “VAR” menu is displayed. The current variance value will also be displayed.
3. Once in the “VAR” menu depress the STEP button for approximately 10 seconds until the “CAL” message is displayed solidly not blinking.
4. To complete the compass calibration, drive the vehicle in one or more complete 360 degree circles under 5 mph (8 km/h) in an area free of large metal objects such as other vehicles, large buildings, or bridges; or, near overhead or underground power lines, until the “CAL” indicator turns off. The compass will now function normally.
Q: 2010 Jeep Four Door Wrangler or 2010 Camaro?
Im thinking about which car I should get as my first one. I live in NJ where it snows a good amount in the winter, but not too much. Is the camaro really a nice car...or should I get the jeep because of functionality?
A: Well, the Camaro is rear wheel drive and, for the money, not worth it in my opinion. The wrangler is going to eat gas and is a TOTALLY different car though. The wrangler will beast through the snow and any terrain really, but can be boring for everyday driving and isn't necessary in good weather because of it's poor gas mileage and sub-par performance. For the money, I'd say you're better off getting a four wheel drive sport sedan or coupe. The Audi S4 for example comes in a four wheel drive quattro version, will be just as fast as the Camaro but will also have the snow handling of a Wrangler. Don't feel confined to these two, try some new cars out.

Im 14 and when i turn 16 i want to get one, and im gonna get a job after christmas this year, so how much will one cost by then and im pretty sure i wont be able to get a new one by then because the amount of time i will be working wont give me enough money, unless you think i could, and if it will be to high what would be the price of a jeep wrangler 2007 or 2008 by then, would i be able to save enough money for one if i work for a year and 8 months (which is the amount of time from this christmas till i turn 16), or would you suggest i go ahead and start working this month. and so will i be able to get a good affortable one used or not by then.
A: Well dudeguy, depending on what year of jeep you are wanting to buy it could range anywhere from approximately 3000 to 40000. I just got a great deal on a really good looking 1991 Jeep Wrangler Renegade, and only paid $3900.00. Just start saving now and when you are ready to buy do your research on the year you want to buy. Get a Kelley Blue Book value on each jeep you look at. Make sure to get a VIN#(vehicle identification number) from the jeep you are looking to buy to research accident history/last reported miles, etc. Good luck!!

A: From what I've read its coming towards the end of the year. I don't know how I feel about that yet but we'll have to wait and see.

I'm in drivers ed right now and i REALLY want to have a jeep wrangler (the mountain edition) as my car and i've had a job for about a year and a half and i've been saving up for that truck since.
I just want to know how much more i would have to save up. I go for my license in December and i can get my car at the end of the month and have it for 2011.
also my parents said that they would pay for half of the price as long as i pay the other half and for the insurance.
I just want to know how much money i'm looking at.

i like the ruggedness and the topless part of the jeep.
i like the 350z's look and power.
A: Get the jeep and the 350z/370z in a few years. The 350z is a great car (I own one) but I don't think at your age you will enjoy it as much as the jeep, and it will certainly get you more negative attention from the police which is something you really don't need.
Jeep's are plain fun to drive, can be driven in any condition and in almost any environment- the 350z is a summer track car which does not deal well with extreme weather conditions (and especially without aftermarket tires). Also, and I know you're gonna hate to hear this, but the 350z is a fast car and has a lot of power which can make for some very dangerous situations if you're not cautious. I am not saying you're not a good driver but I'm almost 30 and I can tell you right now it's a car I would not have been able to handle when I was 17, and at your age you will be tempted to race it whether you admit it or not. Yeah, the Z is a looker but you won't be able to take any more than 1 friend or gf with you no matter where you go (and the teenage/college years are about hanging out with friends)- it's practicality (if it has any at all) is extremely limited, whereas the jeep is a lot of fun no matter and is very practical. All that being said, you'll be happy with either, but go with the jeep for now and get yourself a used 370z in a few years.
