Q: Subaru Impreza Or Ford Mustang?
What are the pros and cons of a 2010 5-door subaru impreza wrx sti or a ford mustang v-6 Sorry make that the WRX Premium Basicly best band for 30,000-34,000 Dollars

A: weather shouldn't have much to do with you decision unless you live where it snows. Subaru's WRX Limited has many advantages over the Ford Mustang V-6. AWD- Even if it does not snow where you live, you can try as much as you want to get the tires spinning on this car, more than likely it won't happen. (unless you drop the clutch at 5500 RPMs, and even if you do that you will barely get a chirp out of the tires before they catch on the asphalt) Reliability- Subaru isn't some knock off brand of car. these are well designed and reliable cars. even with a turbo charger a subaru will far out last a mustang. Tuning- Subaru has a huge market for tuning and modifying. You can do anything you want to do and at a reasonable price. resale value- When you drive most cars off of the lot they automatically depreciate by 30% and continue to depreciate up to 5% every year. Subaru's depreciate 20% when you drive it off the lot and will only depreciate about 1 to 2% every year. just a few things to think about. If i were you i would get the impreza.

Q: 1999/2001 Impreza RS or 2009/2010 Impreza WRX?
I now have a chance to pick up a Subaru Impreza! I've always wanted a 98-01 Impreza RS but never had any luck to find one with low mileage. Now since I work and make about $$$ a month, I can afford for another New car and plus insurance and also my other cars (06 Pilot, 98 Supra, and 99 Tundra) The only thing is, I can only pick one. I found a 1999 Impreza RS with 5 speed and it has only 55,000 miles on it. The 2001 has about 60,000. Both are asking $6000 only or wait till the spring time and buy a new 09/10 WRX what would you pick?

A: I would recommend getting the 2009/2010 Impreza WRX. I think that it looks better than the Imprezas in 1999 and 2001.

Q: Weight of factory wheel?
I'm looking to get new 18" wheels for my 2010 Subaru WRX Sti. I want to make sure I don't get wheels that are heavier than the factory wheels and was wondering if anyone knows the weight of the factory 18" wheels (without tires).

A: most after market wheels won't go over the factory weight. Unless you are on the show car business to have those super polish, wire brush shine, etc. The wheel for that year, US model (not the white wheel) should be roughly 20 lbs. If you have other than US model, white wheel or the dual stoke wheel, they weight little less (roughly 18/19). But if someone cheated on you and put the OUTback wheel on it, it will weight around 22 lbs.

Q: Audi A5? Need info please!?
So I am planning on purchasing a brand new car by the end of winter (beginning of Spring 2010). And well, I have been shopping around and found some cars I might want to check out. Top Cars listed for me... 0. 2009 Subaru Legacy Spec B (if they still have it) 1. 2009 Subaru WRX STI 2. 2009 Lexus IS250 with 6 Speed manual (its a 90% no, I talk to lexus and they wont send me one) 3. 2006-2008 Acura TSX with 6 Speed Manual (if I can find one with low mileage a warranty at Acura dealership) 4. 2009-2010 Subaru WRX 5. 1991-2005 Acura NSX (need one with warranty) 6. 2009 Nissan 370Z nismo edition (if I can find one) 7. 2009 Infiniti G37 with 6 Speed manuall My price range is $35,000 but $45,000 is okay(asking to much). Just today, I was looking at the Audi Car line to check out the R8 and saw that they have a Coupe! Its called the Audi A5 or S5??? Im guessing the S5 is faster sinces it was at $56,000 and the A5 was around my price range! So... if you guys can help give me some info on the A5 that would be nice! Like.... is it reliable, FWD/RWD/AWD?, How much Horse/Torque, etc... Just tell me things that I would like to know and may want to buy it cause this car is super sexy!

A: The A5 is essentially a 2-door version of the A4. Audi has used S and RS to denote sport and super sport versions of their cars for some time so yes, the S5 is the higher performance version. The A5 can be had (in America) with a 211hp/258lbft 2.0 turbo four cylinder or a 265hp/243lbft 3.2L V6. Both have AWD as standard. The S5 has a 354hp/325lbft 4.2L V8 and all wheel drive as well. Audi's are quite reliable but quite expensive to repair when things go wrong. They're great cars and they're a LOT of fun to drive. As a side note, your list of cars is ALLL over the board. number 4 isn't even into the 35K range, number 3 isn't even remotely sporty, Number 2 is ignoring the 350 (though lexus doesn't like manual transmissions so... that stinks) and so on. I vote for number 5 because getting a rare/hard to find car is immensely satisfying but you may have to do more work to find a good one and keep it in good shape than a brand new but lesser car. Number 7 is great though as an all around vehicle and don't discount the BMW 335i.

Q: Which car would you want?
Signing for a car for my 17 year old sisters (the insurance will be in my name too so it won't be too expensive, we've checked) & we've looked everywhere, so they have seen a lot but, can't decide. We've come up with a list of cars as follows: 2010 VW Tiguan 2010 Mazda3 grand touring 5 door 2010 Dodge Nitro 2010 Subaru WRX-STI 2010 Mercedes 2009 M-Class we found that was a demo for a salesman & only has 15k miles, 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 2010 Cadillac SRX, 2010 Nissan Rogue, 2010 Jeep Compass 2010 Audi Q5 2010 Ford Mustang (Shelby) So, what would u pick?

A: Either the Cadillac SRX because it is GM or Ford Mustang (Shelby) because it is Ford: . Reason because both are popular makes which means parts readily available. No have having to wait on parts since most part houses will have them on hand: . almost all independent shops will have knowledge on working on them: Not so the others. With the others in a lot of cases you will be restricted to dealership shops for that make only. . Meaning if you are out in the middle of nowhere U.S. and have car trouble. You will be able to get the Caddie and Mustang worked on by the local shops: . And don't forget this: Ford is the only one which has not closed smaller dealerships. Meaning you will find Ford dealerships in small towns and cities where Chrysler & GM doesn't have dealers anymore:

Q: about the subaru imprezza 2010 explanations?
sti/wrx,hp

A: The WRX comes with 265hp and 244ft lbs of torque, the STI comes with 305hp and 290ft lbs of torque. Handling and performance wise they made the new generation wrx a lot better in many ways and it can now hang with the sti a lot better. Their both two great cars, and you cant go wrong with either. But if you plan to track it a lot, it would be worth the extra money for the STI.

Q: which car is better?????
my dad is looking for a new car and we are disputing on which car is better. the 2010 subaru impreza wrx sti or the 2010 vw gti? please leave a response back on which car you like better and why?

A: i think that the wrx sti will definitely be more fun to drive. if he doesn't care too much about that or doesn't "drive with spirit" then it jsut comes down to fuel economy, aesthetics and how comfortable the ride is.

Q: whats the chance I will be able to buy a new 2009 car in the 2010 summer time?
I am planning on purchasing a brand new Subaru in the Summer time and I am looking at the 2009/2010 WRX STi and the 2008-2009 Legacy Spec B!!! I've always dream of owning the Legacy Spec B when it came out! Now that I have money I can go buy one, will except that I have to save that car money until the summer time just to see if my business will survive the Winter time. So what do you think... Whats the chance of me finding a brand new subaru legacy spec b in the summer time.... I dont mind a WRX STI but the Legacy is more my type. Thanks 2010 Models have been redesign and I don't like them.

A: I would say pretty slim. But you could probably find a barely used 2009, save a bundle of cash, and still have years of warranty left.

Q: should i sell my subaru for a camaro?
i can sell my 09 subaru wrx sti for 55,000 dollars basically because its twin turboed making around 650 hp with a reliable non engine braking 15 lb of boost and has hella shit done to it even has custom lugnuts...i already got a few people who want it should i sell that for a 2010-2011 camaro ss? im 5ft3 so i can fit in it, i think its comfortable i can put 20-30 grand in it and make it a freaking speed demon if i really felt the need to..since their about 30 grand give or take...should i? i like muscle cars but i like imports that have lots of horsepower even though they make like no torque or should i just say screw all this and buy a rx-7 with a rotary..them things are fun

A: Go for the Camaro 2SS/RS you wont be sorry, it will run you 37 -38,000 dollars and keep the rest for the mods that you want, cold air intake, supercharger, suspention upgrades. The mods I mentioned will net you about 500 or more hp and will still be streetable, plus you will have more than enough torque to blow past most cars today. And as you know torque is what wins races.

Q: for 2010 mustang owners only!!!! 2010 Mustang as my primary vehicle in PA? What do you think about it in snow?
I am Planning to buy a V6 premium 2010 mustang. As you might already know it already has Traction control, and if i buy it, i am planning to install some Bridgestone Blizzack winter tires (the best i've heard of). If i am not getting the mustang, then i'll be looking at a base model Subaru impreza (definielty not the WRX or STI), impreza outback, legacy, or Kia Forte. So please give me your feedback. BTW, i know that the mustang is coming out with new engines for 2011, but i am not waiting.

A: An Impreza would be the best in the snow hand's down. The Kia Forte would probably be second. The Mustang is going to be the worst, being rear wheel drive.. but being a V6 it's not really any more powerful than an average car, so with a good set of snow tire's and maybe a bit of weight in the back you should be fine.

Q: What turbo will fit my 08 Subaru Impreza 2.5i? [Stock appilication turbo] 10pts!?
Car: 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i (NOT WRX/STI) Mods: none, so far AVO DOES NOT make the turbo kit for the 2.5i anymore (specifically designed for this car). (They don't have it on there 2010 catalog). I'm saving up to buy it in 2-3 years. Will they make it again? Should i buy it used? If so, where? If not, what other turbo's will fit my car without damaging it? Thanks! I'm okay if i get low boost like 4 or 5psi. I just want a turbo. Thanks again! Happy Xmas!

A: You can make just about any turbo fit with custom piping. As far as running it without damaging your car, that's not going to happen unless you build the motor or run very low boost. Just keep saving for a swap. Even with a built motor, the soft aluminium heads will not allow you to run any high crazy boost.

Q: opinion on cars for 16 year old?
I just turned 16, and would like to get a used car soon. i've saved up some money, and my parents are helping me out too. i have about 17k and was thinking of these cars, what are your opinions? and i don't wanna hear i should get a crappy 500$ car or that i'm spoiled please. 2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe 2010 Mazda3 2008 Honda Accord Coupe (not the V6) 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan (automatic though) 2010 Kia Forte Koup all these cars would be used, not new, and who knows if i could even find one in my price range. whats your opinion on all these for a guy in highschool? WRX isn't likely at all, just an idea, my parents are pretty over protective. some of my gas is covered by my parents, and my car will be in their name to make it cheap.

A: Get some crappy $500 car, you spoiled brat.

Q: Which car do you think would be the best to sign for my 17 year old sisters to get?
For my sisters' Senior year, I asked that they come up with 5k by the end of summer & they came up with 8k for me to sign for a new car for them. Their trade is worth 4500 & with all that as a down payment, these are the cars they have narrowed it down to: A 2010 VW Tiguan that will cost them like $303 a month but it's LOADED! Bike rack, heated seats & steering wheel, u name it, plus their oil changes, inspection & emissions would be free for the life of the car. A 2010 Mazda3 grand touring 5 door that will cost them like $226 a month & I know that's not all-wheel or 4 wheel like I wanted them to have but my fiance has one that's a couple years older & it goes great in snow so I guess I'm okay with that. There's a 2010 Dodge Nitro we looked at before that will be $286 a month (actually less cuz we didn't calculate their trade in when we looked). Another we looked at was a new Subaru WRX-STI that's all-wheel, loaded & would be about $300/month. There was also a Mercedes 2009 M-Class we found that was a demo for a salesman & only has 15k miles, it's all-wheel & loaded, even heated seats & steering wheel & I can get 0% financing on it, the payments will be slightly higher ($363 a month) but I kinda saw their eyes light up when we looked at that. Plus with the payment split in half & that being the only bill they would have other than car insurance. (Dad pays cell bill) They still want to look at a new Pathfinder cuz they love mine but I think I might get jealous if they had a newer one than me, lol. And of course, they both are REALLY trying to talk me into the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 that would cost $400/month that we test drove just for fun but, now they want it. I know they could afford to split the payment on it & my father & I are covering the first 12 months of insurance. All have full warranties until the loan would be paid off. I'm a lil worried about the Challenger cuz I don't want them to wreck in the snow. (We live in PA) What do you guys think?

A: the challenger's the only one i'm outright discouraging. it's not a new-driver-friendly car. it's long, rear-wheel-drive, and got lots of horses under the hood. not that safe for a beginner. if they're taking the car to school, i wouldn't recommend the M-class, either - it's a hater magnet in school. unless of course you can afford any minor repairs people might do to it - scratches and stuff. when i was a student, i used to haul lots of stuff for projects and extra-curricular work. i had (and still have) a 2002 Lancer with an aftermarket sound system, and i often had to take out the subwoofer for the stuff i had to bring. occasionally, i even had to borrow my mom's Honda CRV for even more space. that for me eliminates the Impreza, too. So that narrows it down to 3: the Nitro, Mazda3 and Tiguan. of those i would pick the 3, being a lower-maintenance car. but if i were in your shoes and you seem pretty loaded, that's out, too. at this point, it's a toss-up - i like the the exterior of the Nitro, but i like the Tiguan's interior better. i'd still go for the Nitro, though, if only for the muscular looks, and the seemingly higher driving position. hope that helps!
