Q: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS has been sitting for 8 years how do I get it road worthy?
It hasn't been started in about 6 years, it has set in our cold damp garage for 8 years. its not even been touched since i started it last in 2004. What is everything i need to do to get it out on the road?

A: If it was mine, I would just check the oil and coolant to make sure it's all full. Check out everything else like the air cleaner, master cylinder and power steering is full. Put a new battery in it, and fire it up! If it ran when ya parked it, it will run again. It wont run great until you mix some fresh gas in, but it will run! Then after you get it running, you can change all the fluids and filters, probably some new tires! If the brake pedal still feels good, just drive it , see how they feel after driving foe awhile.

why and why not??? would it be a bad choice of a car for a teenage girl about 15 or 16 to drive when she first gets her lisence and has her permit?? would a 1980 ford F 350 truck be better as a first car?

A: NO ITS A CLASSIC CAR

Q: which is faster a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS or a 1969 Chevrolet z28?

A: depends on the mileage on each car and the driver

Q: HOW MUCH FOR 1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO?
AROUND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST FOR A RUN DOWN 1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO THAT IS IN POOR CONDITION COST ME?

A: about( 5,000). as long as it has a motor and a good body. check under the car for frame damage and rust. a little rust is ok but alot where you're going to have to replace panels is not good cause you'll spend alot of money fixing it back up to normal.

Q: which is a better classic car a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro or 1978 ford Mustang II?

A: 1969 Camaro all the way. It was still in the era of true muscle cars.

Q: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro rear end?
I recently installed a small block 350 engine, th350 transmission on my 69 camaro and was planning on changing my factory 10 bolt rear end to a 12 bolt 411 gears rear end. I'm getting the rear end for free from a family member. Just wanted to ask if the combination will work proper and is there going to be any complications while my car is running?

A: Britney has it right, i have owned both styles of rears, and with upgraded axles they will both pop about the same time. I've gone through quite a few rings, axles, and even twisted the housings from the tubes a few times. Have the tubes fully welded into the housings on either rear. I would go for the 4:11s. Who needs gas mileage in a 69 Camaro, it's missing the point a bit.

Q: which is faster 1973 Chevrolet Camaro or 1969 Chevrolet Camaro?

A: As posted you are having an apple to football debate. Not apple to apple. What engine? The Both cars had v8 and straight 6 options. The '69 also had the 427 big block option 1969 Camaro 427 ZL1 ran 13.16@110.21 mph 1/4 mile with a four-speed man trans and 4.10 rear gears The small block cars are alot slower than that in the 14's, and 15's The 73 camaro Z28 ran a 15.2@ 95 mph 1/4 mile time with a 4 speed man trans and 3.42 rear gears Now those stock times means very little 30+ years later cause most aint stock anymore and an engine with 300, 400, 500 or more HP can be dropped right down into both cars

Q: 1969 chevrolet camaro wheel fitments?
hey there guys, i recently updated my front brakes with an SSBC kit, and did not realized I needed size 16 wheels for that particular kit, and all I have is 15 inch rallies, would it be possible to buy 1 inch spacers to make the 15 inch wheels fit without hitting the caliper, just for now? any advice will be gladly appreciated.

A: I,m afraid this still will not work, your rallye wheels still don,t have enough offset for this to work...This is a problem with all the 60,s 70,s muscle cars...The good ole 15" wheels and tires are starting to be a thing of the past...BFG is not making alot of their 15" tires now...Their just isn,t a big enough market anymore...You,ll have to buy a set of 16" rallyes for you new brakes to work....Pretty soon we will have to buy our 15" tires for our classic muscle cars from places like Coker Tires in Tenn...They call this progress...It,s auctually to your advantage though...The new style brake system you bought is better than the 15" setup...Bigger brakes means better stopping....I,d buy a set of 16" for the front and 17" for the back....

Q: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Project?
I am looking for a '69 Camaro L78 or L89 RS/SS project to work on if anyone knows where i could find one it would be greatly appreciated. I frequently try Ebay or Cars-on-line and hemmings.

A: Good luck. You're looking for one of the most Popular, Expensive, and increasingly Rare makes of Camaro and Muscle Car around. They don't go on the Chopping Block very often and when they do.... Originals can get VERY expensive. If you're looking for a project, it might be easier to just try to find any '69 Camaro Body and restore/upgrade it as you desire. There are a few RS/SS Clones out there. So if you're looking for an Original make sure to check the VIN. There's Craigslist (a long shot), but I think www.Autotrader.com might be your best bet if those other ones aren't working out for you. Good luck!

Q: Where could I get a 1969 Chevrolet Z28 Camaro in Reno, Nevada?

Q: CAMARO SS 1969 QUESTION?
Ok so I'm 14 and figure if I want a camaro when i'm older then I had better start saving now, cause I know they cost alot!! it'll take me around 3 or 4 years to have enough money to get one and thats not spending a dime on anything!! But anyway thats not what im here to ask. I want to know what you know about a chevrolet camaro ss 1969..What websites I can get info on about them. I want to know everything about the inside and out in detail!! Oh and I'm a girl, so it's dudet not dude. I always get that haha :) So tell me what you know about them and If you have some websites for me to chack out on them let me @ em'

A: save your pennys for 3/4 years wont get you a 69 camaro. you may have enough to find a old junker 69 but not a average condition, unless your allowance is pretty steep. and dude, ive seen 1st gen f bodys around here sale in rough condition 15000 to 25000. let alone a average or restored one will run you.

Q: 1967-1969 camaro ss Question!!!?
ok, im a 17 year old guy that owns a 2000 Chevrolet silverado. i do major work to my truck as in replaced 2 pistons and changed the brakes, and as a supercharger successfully, I even installed a transmission with the help of some of my friends, i have installed speakers and redone the wiring. But to the point. i am looking for a awesome old car to redo myself for a couple summer projects, i am wondering how much a 67-69 camaro ss body will cost me, im lookin for one without an engine, just a body in pretty decent shape, as in not beat to hell and not rusted clear through the metal, but fixable! I am lookin at one for 1,000$ 68 ss that has no engine, bad transmission, and is slightly rusted, not much paint left and a few dents, it will roll on the rims lol... is this a good price? ps i am going to paint it myself!... good price? slightly rusted= there's metal underneath, can be picked off with fingernail, most of it at least!

A: The key question with respect to the car you are considering is "how complete is the car?" If it is compolete and all the trim pieces and bright work are there and in good condition it makes the whole deal look a lot more interesting. If you are going to have to locate a great many of the trim pieces and have a lot of the bright work rechromed then expect to pay considerably more for a finished product. "Year One" is a great after market source for a lot of the pieces you will probably want to replace. Check the floor pans and the trunk pan. As long as you don't have a great deal of through and through rust on the body panels and floor pans then that will eliminate a lot of extra work. The 68, 67 amd 69 Camaros are very desirable cars and well worth the time and effort to make them look new again.

Q: Poll: what is your dream car?
Whats your dream car? YOu dont have to get technical, just basics really. Mine is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS with double black stripes on the top.

A: The latest gen Prius. I like to laugh at people who pays through the nose for gas. But I have heard that it's hard to see the blind spot in those things... Hmmmm....you must be overcompensating for something small or inadequate, Cody, if you feel the need to push that pedal that hard for no reason. It's funny watching people like you accelerate that fast just to hit the red light ahead. Have fun waiting there for other people to catch up to you. Oh, and we'll be using less gas; therefore, using less money. But, hey, if you really like padding the bank accounts of OPEC and oil companies, go nuts; I'm not here to judge. Just don't be a hypocrite and complain when gas prices go up.

Q: what's your favorite classic car?
