Q: I am looking to buy a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado Crew, 4X4, 3.7. What kind of gas mileage will I get?
Owner's or past owner's please. Also, please no comments about don't buy junk, buy a Toyota or whatever. I like to buy American, regardless if a Toyota/Nissan is built here or not.
A: Have you considered a full size truck rather than the Colorado. I have a Silverado quad cab and I get the same mileage as the other responder said. It is more comfortable and pulls all my equipment and toys quite well. Just some food for thought.
Q: Credit when buying a car?
What kind of a credit rating does one need in order to buy a truck? I am currently looking at 2008 Chevrolet Colorado LT w/1LT that is $24,065. See for specs: http://www.findlayautocenter.com/Premier/fusebox.cfm?&fuse=10&searchtype=search
Thanks for the help so far. To give a better idea on myself. I currently make $40,000 a year with little to no bills. However, there has been damage to my credit (done by parents when I was yonger - I am in the process of correcting this.)
A: 620 or better to get an approval from a primary source 560 through a secondary source like Americredit or Citi financial. By the way red tag sale price on that truck should be around $18000. Talk to your local bank or credit union they should be able to help you.
Q: Why is stock audio so bad?
I have a 1994 chrysler concorde and wow it's sound system is awesome but i was in a crash and the car is getting repaired so they gave me a 2008 kia rondo and wow that thing sucks and it's audio is even worse! I mean it has practicly no bass or treble or mid and i put all that to the max and still no difference. But i took it back and got a 2009 Mazda 3 and it has a great audio system. Also i have noticed a lot of newer cars have bad audio to name some 2009 chevrolet colorado and anything kia and a 2008 charger is not up standards that its father the intrepid set. I love the mazda!
also my 2000 dakota has a killer pioneer system but i bet it's stock system could kill a lot of cars today
A: May not be the answer you were looking for, but some of the cheaper cars put those cheap systems in to keep cost down. The better systems are an upgrade that can be added on from the factory but when you want a cheap car... you go cheap from the factory which may explain kia's and some colorado's.
Q: Do you miss your first car?
My first vehicle was a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab. I loved that truck, but it became unreliable after the 200,000 mile mark. I sold it (mistake) and chose a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme CrewCab for my second vehicle. I lost my Colorado in a flash flood when the sewer system at my girlfriend's house got backed up. By the time the neighbors made it to our house to warn us, it was too late. The water was already up to the headlights. We pushed her down the road to get her out of the water, but she didn't survive the flood. On the bright side, I got a nice insurance check and used that as a down payment on a 2008 Dodge Charger. I love my Charger, but sometimes I wish I still had my first truck. I had so many great times in that truck.
Do you ever miss your first car?
A: I don't miss my first vehicle at all because I still have it. I'm 24 now and have had it since my dad gave it to me in the 6th grade. I don't drive it much anymore but it's a great truck. A 1951 chevy stepside.
