Q: What other rims from different vehicles will fit my 2008 Chevrolet Impala LS?

A: Different manufacturers may use different wheel mounting patterns. Some use a 4-lug and others, a 5-lug pattern. Usually, GM rims will fit GM cars, and Ford will fit Ford, etc. In some cases different manufacturers use the same bolt pattern. The only way to check is to test fit them on your car or measure the bolt circle to see if it's the same as your car. Q: 2008 Chevrolet Impala. Is keyless entry standard?
I just purchased a used 2008 Chev. Impala from a local Chev. dealer. It was advertised with keyless entry. When we went to pick the car up, I was told that they did not have the fobs for the system. They then told me that this was not a standard feature on the 2008 LS Impala. I can certainly believe that they do not have the fobs, but I am skeptical about their statement that it was not a standard feature and my car is not equipped with the system.

A: The dealer lied big time. All models of the 2008 impala have keyless entry standard. The dealer is trying to save about $200 dollars which is the cost of the two keyfobs.Best of luck with the dealer.

Q: 2008 Chevrolet Impala?
Hey I am looking at getting a 2008 Impala with 100,000 miles. With it having so many miles on it, can i expect many problems down the road? what are some questions i should ask the dealer? I am trying to get rid of my 01' that i owe almost 2,000 and it has a lot of problems. here is a link to the impala, http://www.carsoup.com/used/detail.asp?usedvehicleid=7186180&xdealerid=3550&makeid=14&minyear=2008&maxyear=2010&searchid=I2604&vehicletypeid=1&uvviewid=4&page=1&certified=0 Are there any other car makes and models that you can recommend. I am looking for something cheap and reliable. an 01' dodge neon is what i currently drive.

A: An '08 with 100K miles? Was the previous owner a traveling salesman? Personally, I wouldn't even look at it. But, with that said, if you are still wanting it, you will want some very good service documentation: oil changes, tire balancing/rotation, coolant flush, any service done on it. While you are at it, ask for a carfax report.

Q: Chances of an 18 year old financing a car?
So I'm 18 years old, hold a great stable job and am looking to buy a new car. I've been looking at about a 2008 or 2009 Chevrolet Impala. I was just wondering the odds of me actually getting approved on my own without a co-signer. Does anybody have any clue? Thanks in advance.

A: Financed cars is more expensive to insurance cause it requires full coverage. You can compare how much you would pay for full coverage of this car using this tool - carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: Do you think I will be able to get this car?
I can afford right now to put down up to $800 down payment. The 2 cars that I am looking at: 2006 Chevrolet Impala $12995 or 2008 Chevrolet Impala $13995 I will definitely be using In house financing since my credit isnt that good.. I do work full time and my monthly salary after taxes is about 1700-1800. Will they let me get this car with such a small down payment or no? And what will i need to bring, etc in order to qualify to get in house financing. I have heard different people say that everyone gets approved, but are there exceptions to the rule? As far as the interest rate, im pretty sure it will be high since I will be doing financing through them instead of a bank. ( I tried to finance through my bank, but with my crazy credit, they of course denied.) I really need a car.. like by yesterday! I cant wait. The only auctions around here is about 3-4 hours away and i just dont have the time to go to one of those. Thanks for your help!

A: your income should carry the payment before you do a buy here pay check with some dealers that have special finance departments be prepared to show a recent pay check stub,a recent phone bill and maybe proof of a bank account plus 2 to 5 personal references

Q: I need to know about my credit in terms of my chances of getting a auto loan with my credit union?
Here is the story, Sometime in January of this year I was turned down for a auto loan for $16,000 for the 2008 Chevrolet Impala LT, so I plan on Re-Applying again for the loan this summer, but here is the thing, Last year I was going through a Financial slump and I wasn't able to pay my credit card bill on time and at times I wasn't able to pay, but in December of 2008 My credit card company put me on a program to get me under my credit limit because through out those times those fees that my credit card company has charged me, got me over my credit limit, so that is why they put me in the program. Since December I was able to pay all my credit card bills to get me back under my credit limit and current with them once again. My Question is, If I pay all my bills on time from now until lets say, June will It be a better chance for me to get the auto loan at my credit union for the 08 Impala? I am really trying to get it this summer and I am doing all I can do to pay all my bills on time to have a better chance for me to get the loan. My credit union is offering 5.5% interest rat to pay back the loan. So do I still have a chance? Thanks a lot.

A: Credit Unions generally are a little more friendly than banks when it comes to loans. What I would do is go into your credit union and talk to a loan officer. Sit down with him or her and go through your credit history to see what, if anything, can be done. Going from one car dealership to another and having your credit run a zillion times is not the way to go. When buying a car it is best to have the financing in place first then go shopping. Since you have a car in mind, go to Edmunds.com and see how much this car REALLY costs and what you can get it for. There is also a web site that has an Excel spread sheet you can use to figure out your payments, get rebates, etc etc. I hate car dealerships and I want to see people get a good deal. With dealerships folding left and right and auto companies in the crapper, buyers have all the cards in this one. Just for fun I will do the leg work and see what you can get a 2008 Impala for. Then I will email you the results and links to the sites I got the info from. That cool? Edit: Ok since you don't allow email here is what I came up with. Edmunds has the 2008 Impala LT with the 3.5 liter V6 listed for $21,549.00. If you throw in the $3250.00 in rebates this car goes for $18,299.00. Not bad really. Never finance a car for longer than 4 years and never negotiate payments. ALWAYS negotiate price. And don't let a dealership run your credit without first having a deal in place. And certainly don't let them run your credit if you pay cash. Remember, YOU are in control and if something seems fishy, leave! If you spend more than an hour in a dealership, leave! There is no excuse to sit there all damn day. Knowledge is power. Good luck! Edit again: Please folks, completely ignore the idiot below me. He is a Nigerian scammer looking to screw you out of your hard earned money. Don't answer him.

Q: What should I do about my car?
So I bought a new car on 10/01/2007. Its a 2008 Chevrolet Impala. I am currently making payments on the car. Its was priced at 30,000 when I bought it. It was my first time buying a car, and I had no one to assist me in the process. My payments are around $605 a month. My problem is that since I have had the car it has had so many problems. The door handle completely fell off when I went to open the driver-side door, the sun-roof was leaking, and numerous other manufacturer problems that were covered by warranty. I am disappointed with my sale, and I can't even enjoy my car because of all the problems with it. I also feel that my payments are way too high. Do I have grounds to sue, or file a complaint with the company I bought the car from? Is there a way I can get my payments lowered? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am unemployed and a full-time college student. When I purchased the car I was also in college, but working a min. wage job. I had no co-signer.

A: Seek a Solicitor..

Q: Ever since I bought my car it has had problems. What can I do about this?

A: You bought a car two years ago. You had several problems with the vehicle, but they were fixed (as required) by the dealer under warranty. You have no claim under any lemon law. The lemon law only applies to problems that are not properly repaired after several tries. The second issue is you are unhappy with the deal that you got.You think your payments are too high. You do not say how long the loan is for, how much money you put down, or the interest rate, but the $600 payment is about right for a $30,000 loan. You may have been able to get a better price, most dealers will discount the price of a car if they have to, but there is no requirement that they do. If someone pays the sticker price, the dealer is going to take it. Perhaps you need to get a job to pay the payment. Sorry

Q: Chevy Impala caught fire, GM will do nothing?
My 2000 Chevrolet Impala had been sitting for about a week. On December 13th, 2008 my fiance went to start it and the engine caught on fire. After looking it over he thought it was from the fuel pressure regulator, which was a recalled part that was fixed in 2005. We found there was also a later recall in 2007 that we were never informed of. We had the car towed to the closest Chevy dealer and the next day the Service Manager called me and told me to call GM to file a claim. I called and they reassigned my case to GM Esis. I spoke with a Josh P. there and he told me his legal department told him that there was nothing they would do because of the Economic Loss Law. When I asked if this law still applied even though the part that caused the fire was recalled he said he didn't know, that his legal department told him that they would do nothing. Is this correct?

A: go thru your insurance company they should take care of it.even thow its not a accident they should cover it.
