Q: How do I turn my lights on (2008 Tahoe)?
I have a Chevrolet Tahoe 2008 LTZ. If you look at the front of that Tahoe there are what they call "flood lights" below the regular lights (they are circles). A few nights ago I saw another Tahoe with those lights on, mine are always off. How do I turn them on?
Thanks.
Is it illegal to drive with them on always?
A: The Lights below the Headlights are "Driving Lights" designed for extra light for "Off-Road or Really Dark Nights when there are No Street Lights. On or Next To the Headlight Switch there is a Smaller Switch that control the Driving Light but only works when the Lights are on.
Q: Cost of replacement parking senors on 2008 Tahoe?
How much do replacement parking sensors cost on a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe? Two of the four I have got hit, they are still there but they won't work when I back up.
Plus would I need a new bumper or could I just replace the senors because you cant even tell that they were hit, its just they don't work any longer.
Thanks
A: Well that sounds like a good question for your local chevy dealer parts department. I would give them a quick call they may have the answers you are looking for ok good luck.
Q: 2008 Chevrolet LTZ Tahoe power lock warranty?
Can someone please help. I purchased the vehicle new but for some reason the driver's power lock doesn't lock or unlocks with the alarm as well as the drivers rear mirror doesn't lower down when I hit on Reverse. I didn't have this issue until about (1) month ago. Is this covered under warranty?
A: Visit that website www.unlocklertool.com
Q: Is quick SUV acceleration bad for a vehicle?
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe and sometimes I accelerate it from 0 to about 45 really quick, is that bad for the car or engine? What problems could it cause to the car if any? And what about when I accelerate it quickly from like 40 to 70/80? (like in the freeway). Sometimes the front will slightly lift up but is this really bad for my car if I've only done it about 6 or so times.
Thanks
A: Not bad at all and will not hurt. Just don't be doing it all the time
Q: Owners of 2008 Tahoe (LTZ preferably)! What does this button mean lol?
Here is a picture of what I'm taking about ( http://www.chevrolet.com/vehicles/2009/tahoe/gallery.do ) What does the third button on top mean and the third on bottom? Which one is the A/C because when I press the third on top it gives cold air as does the third on bottom.
Also if you care to explain any of the other buttons I would highly appreciate that too.
Thanks!
Yeah right, like I'm gonna read the manual! What a bore!
A: The third one on the top is RE-CIRCULATE or the oposite of "VENT"
The third one on the bottom is for "AIR-CONDITIONING"
Maybe you should READ the manual.
Q: SUV break problems and seat problems.?
I have a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe and sometimes right when I turn it on and try to use the breaks after like a second of driving they act weird (the break pedal goes up and down and it makes a weird sound outside kinda, it also wont let me break) should I get this checked out or fixed?
Also in the passenger seat the back rest bumps your back sometimes and it drives me nuts, is something in there broken like the heated seats or the thing that makes the seat move? cause they both work fine its just the bumping
Thanks
it only does it right when I use the breaks for the first time that day the rest of the time its fine. I heard from someone its ok cause its probably just air in the breaks from not using them for a lil bit
A: You tell me should you get the brakes fixed ? Use your head for something other then a HAT RACK.
Q: which one is best for a family of 6 persons car use with hot climate weather?
im thinking of buying one of the following :toyota highlander ,mitsubishi outlander, hyundai santafee ,chrysler minivan or chevrolet tahoe , now i have chevrolet astro 1991 and trying to replace with 2008 make, any idea make me grateful.
A: I would go with the Tahoe, it's more rugged than the others and has a proven track record of working no matter what environment it's in.
Q: Looking to buy a used SUV 2006-2008 just wanting opinions on them I need 3rd row. Have 2 kids 11 & 9 & travel?
I need help on reliability, gas, stylish, how it drives, anything that can help!! I've had a 2002 Explorer w/ 3rd row really liked it had 160k on it and transmission went out had to replace and the resale value was horrible. i now have a 2005 Altima had it for several years now went back to a car because my ex-husband had a Chevy HD2500 4-dr and so I went back to a car for gas mileage but now we are divorced and I need something with more ROOM!! My car doesn't have enough room for growing boys plus spend the night company. I like my Nissan it doesn't have the smoothest ride it shakes and i have had it checked several times they say eveything is fine but i have read reviews on 2006 Pathfinders on shaking so if anyone can help on answering that. Because I don't want the same problem again.
I love the body style of the 2007 Tahoe's but I'm needing to stay at a price range of about $17,000 or less if possible.
Plus I'm not a mini-van mom at all I look real young for my age people often think my 11 year old is my brother.
Anyway my biggest thing is reliability, smooth ride, 3rd row a must, room, I need to be able to pull ATV's behind on a trailer, DVD optional (can add) and something that can last me for at least the next 3 years...
But i'm wanting COMPARISON and OPINIONS on Nissan Pathfinder, Honda Pilot, Chevrolet Tahoe's, Toyota 4Runner, maybe a Ford not sure if i want to go back to one!!! But anything on any of these or anything similar would really help thanks!!
A: Honda Pilot has 3 row seating and can tow a trailer. Plus it gets 25MPG (hwy) and will be reliable for over 300k miles. Can't say that about Chevys and Fords.
Q: What do you think Illegal Immigrant Gets 10 Years For Third DWI?
A 31-year-old illegal immigrant living in Tyler was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for driving while intoxicated.Pedro Rivera Rodriguez pleaded guilty in 7th District Judge Kerry Russell's court for his third driving while intoxicated charge.
A jury also ordered Rodriguez to pay a $10,000 fine.
Rodriguez was arrested Feb. 28 following a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Front and Lyons streets.
Karen Ream, a forensic scientist with the Texas Department of Public Safety, said she tested the blood alcohol content of a tube of blood collected from Rodriguez after the crash.
The analysis showed that the blood had an alcohol content of .32, four times the legal limit.
"Anything above .08 is legally intoxicated," Ms. Ream said.
Murry Ballard, testified during the three-day trial that he and his wife were stopped on Front Street waiting for the light to turn when a van, driven by Rodriguez, crashed into their 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe.
"It was a terrible explosion sounding thing," Ballard said adding that his 65-year-old wife still has back problems from the crash. "It's a scary thing. Now all you worry about is someone running into you from behind."Later in the story Rodriguez's wife, Maria Ochoa, said through a translator that her husband only drinks beer and typically on the weekends.
Mrs. Ochoa said that during the 2008 DWI arrest, her husband was at home caring for their 4-year-old daughter when she asked him to take her out for something to eat.
"I know that maybe it was a mistake for her to have been in the car," Ms. Ochoa said.
Ms. Ochoa said she would agree that her husband has "an issue" with drinking and would benefit from counseling.
She testified that the only time she saw her husband drink and get behind the wheel were the two times he was arrested.
"The first wreck was because the girl wanted something to eat. The second wreck was because his friends called and he left," she said.
Ms. Ochoa said she was aware attending drug/alcohol counseling was a requirement of her husband's December 2008 probation, but that the family could not afford it.

But can afford to go out and eat, buy beer, why would a wife want her husband who been drinking caring for their 4-year-old daughter when she asked him to take her out for something to eat when he has been drinking ? Is this an indication immigration does play a part in what and how to comply with our laws

A: First of all he is an illegal and he should not be here in the first place! Second of all he should be sent back to Mexico to serve his time in a Mexican prison instead of U.S. taxpayers having to foot the bill for 3 hots and a cot!
True pimp: unfortunately all of the idiots from California are coming to Texas in droves and ruining our state! They come here because they are mad at what California has become but then turn right around and try to make Texas more like California! I wish they would all just go back to California!
