Q: How do i install a headrest dvd player???........?
Ok so I bought this headrest dvd player from ebay and the sounds is not working. Everything (video) except the sound is working. Can you please tell me what is wrong with it. And by the way i'm installing it on a Chevy Avalanche 2008.

A: there should be speaker wires running from the dvd player out of the headrest, youve got to tie those wires into your factory speakers to get sound unless youve got on with built in speakers, but those are rare

Q: which motorvehicle would you rather get for high school graduation?
2009 Jeep Wrangler 2008 Chevy Avalanche 2009 Dodge Charger

A: it all depends on what you want it for. If you want to go fast deff. go with the charger. If you wanna go off-roading go with the wrangler. If you want a truck-like vehicle that is kind of an -all-in-one truck/Suv go with the avalanche. Personally, I'd go with the charger as they're pretty fast cars, and the newer years (you stated 2009) are nice looking, pleasing to the eye.

Q: Is this really a good vehicle?
is the 2008 chevy avalanche really all it's cracked up to be? i've had people tell me they're awesome and others tell me that if they could take it back they would never get another one. i wanna know about your past experiences. is the avalanche really worth the $???

A: Love the avalanche. However save about $6,000 and buy a 1/2 ton crew cab pu. GM then has a factory cover that is around $500 to cover up the box if you need. An avalanche, I swear it drives as smooth as a cadillac.

Q: What kind of car should i buy?
I'm a new car shopping due to the "buyers market" aka, bad economy, and the bad gas mileage i get in my avalanche. I live in the Detroit area so i have a great selection on basically anything I could want. I currently drive a 2002 Chevy Avalanche that I'm looking to sell for probably six grand to put down on something that fits me better. Here's what I'm looking for: Gas efficiency: probably 23-27 mpgs Year: 2004-2008 Cost: Less than 13,000 Mileage: under 65,000 2 or 4 door, sedan or coupe. not looking for a hatchback or anything sporty, been there done that. lol I'm 20, so i don't want a grandma car, but I'm not looking to wow anybody either. Definitely buying American. I've owned two Chevy's and although I seem to have bad luck in them, I love them. I just think it's time for a change. I drive 18 miles to work and 18 miles home, and i need something better on gas and with fewer blind spots. Please help, I just can't seem to narrow down the selection :[

A: It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota... First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: Chevy 4x4 4 months off lot. In shop 2 times for 4x4. Options?
In November 2008 I bought a Silverado 4x4 to replace my stolen 2007 Avalanche 4x4. Since November I have had the truck in the shop on 2 separate occasions, once the shop basically calling me a lier because they didn't find anything. 2nd time I took a picture of the 4x4 light and took it to them again. This time they said that they found a POO sensor bad. About 4 weeks after they should have ordered the part, I call them and they had not ordered the part, but then called back and said it would be there in a week. Having to work, i didn't have time to take my truck in. Regular Maintenance Oil change, they found that the differential fluid is white / milky, oil was coal black and transmission oil was considerably low. Prior to this, the 4x4 light would change from 4x2 to 4x4 high / low while driving and at times, actually kicking in the 4x4. Planned to take it to the dealer again for the 4x4 sensor and other issues but while my wife was driving it, the 4x4 appears to have kicked in and caused her to go into a ditch because it was unexpected. Up to $12000 in damage as of right now and still going. Anybody have this issue with GM? I wonder what my options would be right now? Body shop is also going to be looking at the 4x4 and go from there. It had 10 miles on it when I drove off the lot November 15th 08. Since, the Service 4 wheel drive light come on several times and in the dealers shop at least 2 times for that, they said it to be a POO sensor and the fluid was fine. After the light came on, would notice what felt like a reduction of power and wanting to pull SLIGHTLY left or right. Then it would stop. Started paying more attention cause it only happened a few times, then saw the 4x4 indicator light going off then on. At first I thought it was bad gas causing the power reduction. But for the past few weeks, I seem to notice that it coincides with the light on the 4x4 selector. After having my truck taken to Penzoil for a fluid change and check, they called me several times to let me know about the white / milky fluid in the differential, the black oil and the low fluid elseware. It now has $12000 in damages and growing and I fear the cause may be the 4x4 unit. Trying to figure this out, I want the 4x4 to work normal. New update. Called the GM Customer Service line and I had trouble understanding the guy on the other end. It was apparent that he had trouble understanding me as well since he kept saying stuff that had nothing to do with why I called. That was a wasted call.

A: I have heard of people having issues with the 4x4 on their Silverado's, a guy i used to work with had his in like 4 times in less then a year. see if the dealer will let you swap trucks and try to cite a lemon law on it or something. but i think that sometimes you just get a bad one cause i have only heard about this with some people and others have it go for hundreds of thousands of miles with no problem. just out of curiosity is it a gas or diesel model?
