Q: Once I've finished my lease, I want to buy my car. How much should it cost?
I'm currently leasing a 2007 Chevy Cobalt through GMAC. The final cost of the car came to $15,000. I put $3,000 down and am paying around $250 a month. The lease is up December of 2010, it's a 4 year lease. I've decided that I'll probably end up keeping the car. Does anyone have any idea of how much more it'll probably cost?

A: The price you can buy the car for is already in the contract. If you look at it, it will show a price called "Residual Value". That's the payoff price. This will be in addition to any taxes and rip-off lease nd fees that are always in there. You need to make sure the payoff price is not much more than the car is worth if you bought it from a dealer in the same condition. You can call the people you pay every month and get a payoff right now. You don't have to wait until the contract expires, although there's no real advantage in doing so. I'm sure the system is automated for 24 hour a day response.

Q: 2010 toyota corolla xrs a good car to buy?
I'm looking at this car because everyone says that it will last for at least 8years? now I'm a peppy driver, sometimes I like to push it to the limit. BUT, cars like the sport ford focus and chevy cobalt are better? I dont want bad reliability. At first I wanted the civic but theres barelly torque and the high reving all the time brings out the cops hehe. SO if you could give any advice on this car, tell me if I should buy this and give other cars out for consideration. thanks

Q: Toyota Corolla and Chevy colbalt?
im about to buy my first car and i want it to last. I dont want to keep putting money in it to sustain it. I like toyota corollas and chevy colbalts. I was wondering how well these cars run. 7000 would be my limit. What years are good for these cars? Does anyone else have good suggestions for their first car? Are any of these cars good? http://edmunds.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?doors=&systime=&position=top&model=COROL&search_lang=en&style_flag=2&start_year=1981&body_style=SEDAN&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&search_type=used&highlightFirstMakeModel=&distance=25&min_price=4000&rdm=1246844788537&drive=&marketZipError=false&advanced=&fuel=&keywords_display=&sownerid=84794&end_year=2010&showZipError=n&make3=&make2=CHEV&certified=&engine=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&body_code=8&transmission=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&address=53142&color=&model2=COBALT&max_price=7000&awsp=false&make=TOYOTA&seller_type=b&num_records=25&sort_type=priceASC

A: Go with the corolla. It will be extremely dependable and you will only have to pay for standard maintanence (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.). I know someone who has a cobalt and after 60,000 miles is having transmission problems (costs thousands to fix).

Q: WHAT CAR SHOULD I GET?
I have an option of one of these cars, but I'm trying to stay within the $15000-$20,000 price range and I still want the car to look good and trendy with many features for the price. Basically the best bang for its buck. 2009-2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer (ES Sport) 2008 Hyundai Tiburon 2009 Chevy Cobalt 2009 Honda Civic Any other suggestions are also welcome. Thanks a bunch! :) you guys aren't helping i know the names of these cars. for what reason is one car better than the other? keeping price and looks in mind which is the best overall offer?

A: You should get the 2008 Hyundai Tiburon. They are a great car my sister has a 2008 and she has had nothing but fun in it since we bought it new off of the lot for her last year. The Tiburon is the best deal because its fast, smooth, and reliable compared to those other cars. Don't forget that this car is not as common as those other car like the Civic or Cobalt.

Q: Should I sue my auto insurance?
Last year someone hit my 2007 chevy cobalt and totaled it from behind. I had full coverage through state farm. They appraised my car at 12000 however my loan was for 19000. I had gap insurance to cover the rest. I signed all the paperwork and didn't hear anything else. However, when I go to get a new car I come to find out my GMAC loan is still open in collections. Never received a call or a letter. State farm just sent the check feb 10th 2010. A year and a month later. I have been receiving negative hits on my credit for the last year. This is crazy im besides myself. Gap insurance never sent their payment said they never got a claim. What can I do someone please help me. My credit doesn't deserve this Thank you! THE PERSON WHO HIT ME LEFT THE SCENE SO I HAD NO CHOICE

A: You should sue the guy that hit you's insurance, not yours. This is either a false post or State Farm are dipshits. They would not have been responsible to pay for someone else hitting you unless the driver was uninsured.

Q: Why do people put big rims on ANY kind of car?
Im not hating on big rims, some cars can pull it off if they have the right customizations (IE paint jobs, vinlys) but i think it also depends on the model of the car... i see a lot of people like to buy cars that make them look like "ballas" Dodge Charger/Magnum Chrysler 300's Lincoln Navigators Ford Expeditions Chevy Tahoe/GMC Yukon Infiniti G35/G37 Caddillac Escalades Cadillac CTS Most old two door muscle cars from the 70s and 80s can pull of the big rims of 20 inches or bigger like the Chevy Monte Carlo But dont people ahve the sense to know what cars dont look good with giant rims examples Nissan Altimas (i own a 2003 model, stock rims) Chrysler Concordes Toyota Camry's (the 2007-2010 model in particular) Any minivan Any Ford Taurus Chevy Cavaliers or Cobalts Dodge Stratus/ Chrysler Sebring Dont get me wrong, Im all for customizing your car and truly making it your own, but i dont think rims are always the way to go, especially rims bigger then 20 inches, only big cars can pull those off, mid size cars and small cars, and minivans especially can not pull them off. But why is it that so many people INSIST on putting giant rims on these kinds of cars Im not against custom rims on smaller cars, but i dont think people should go so big. Why do people do this, their cars look stupid now? As for the bigger cars I listed, big rims can go beautifully with the right paint scheme and car, saw beautiful Chrysler 300 that had chrome 24's and was painted a deep purple with gold sparkles altmas can pull of 18 inch rims, the se-r models comes standard with them

A: trying to keep up with the next guy is my guess....i think they all look retarded but i guess they have a right to free expression even if they ruin their ride. my truck looks good with 22.5s on it but its a kenworth.
