Q: interchangeable suspension parts for 67 chevelle?
i have a 67 chevelle and want to upgrade to disc brakes looking for something i can bolt right on but dont know what years or what cars that would be interchangeable thanks

A: If you are looking for stock front disk brakes then I believe the 66 - 67 Chevelle SS and same year El Camino could be ordered with front disks. However, not sure any other models would swap. Therefore, you might look for those parts either from salvage yards with muscle car era autos, Craigslist, or auto swap meets. However, there are lots of places with make after market disk brake kits for 67 Chevelle such as NPD, Year One, etc. Do an online search and you can pull up all types of replacement brake kits.

A: With $$$$$$, determination, a cutting torch and a BFH most any engine can be made to fit in any car. Whether that is a good or economical choice is another matter.

Q: What model year Chevelle do you all prefer I personally like the 67 and 70 and 72?
let me know why you like that model year, I like the 67 because me dad had one when I was small. Also the styling and just great feel of the car.

A: 1970. Pinnacle year of the muscle cars. 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 Thee definition of a muscle car. The 1967 did have better styling though...

A: You could do an entire 66 front clip to a 67, but just fenders no. Q: what year do you think is better 67,69,or a 70 chevelle?


A: 1970 has the L34, LS5, and LS6s, which is a plus, but I'm not too sure on the generic body style. 1969 has nice body lines and great style when restored, but some might call them "grandma" cars because of their taillights and front grille. 1967 is when the Chevelles really started to sell with the second year of the 396 and four-speed, but they were bigger muscle cars and seemed too "boxey" at times. If I had a choice, it would definitley be a 1969 with the 375 horse 396 and a four speed.

Q: Average Chevelle Restoration cost?
im really wanting to do a 67-72 chevelle restoration project. what are the average prices involved with a basic frame off restoration?

A: My dad did a 65 back in 2002 and he started with a nice cruse car and made it a show winner for a little over $20,000. Did all the work in house except top and windshield. A lot of trophies.

Q: What is the difference b/w a malibu and a chevelle?
I wanted to know if the chevy malibu, chevy cevelle, and the chevy cevelle malibu are the same model car- or distinct models. Im trying to get a diecast model for a friend for his B-day, and all I know is he likes the 67 chevy maliby. I just want to buy the right one, thanks! :)

A: The car was a Chevy Chevelle, and the Malibu was basically the top-of-the-line trim level. To the guy who says Malibus are only 4 door, "Malibus were generally available in a full-range of bodystyles including a four-door sedan, two-door Sport Coupe hardtop, convertible and two-seat station wagon." The Malibu SS was only available as a coupe or convertible.

Q: I am havin trouble finding a good website for cheap restorable classic chevy muscle cars. Any suggestions?
I have always been intersted in classic cars since I was a kid. and it has been a dream of mine to fully restore a classic chevy muscle car like a 69 nova or camaro or 67 chevelle. But I am having trouble trying to find a cheap one ready to be restored. Any help would be greatly apprecitated

A: Start with Hemmings motor news. If you need cheap, than look locally, as in the largest newspaper in your state. Concentrate on 4 door models for lower prices. Understand that basket case muscle cars still sell for $5000 or more. You will never get the money out of it that you put in, but is still worth it.

Q: Where can i get a nice muscle car for a decent price?
I want to purchase a old muscle car. Preferably a 67'-69 Chevelle or camaro. I love old muscle cars but am trying not to pay over 10 grand.

A: 454 was never offered in the Chevelle by the factory until 1970. The Biggest they put in the '67-'69 was the 396. Some of the Dealers did swaps and offered them with a 427, but very few were done, there were actually more Nova's that had the 427 installed by Dealers. 427 engines last year was '69, and in '70 they came out with the 454.

Q: Brightest silver metallic car paint?
I am restoring a 67 Chevelle . The owner wants the brightest silver to date on the car.I am just wondering what is or do you consider to be the brightest,purest silver metallic out to date?? I am looking for something short of pure mixing silver.Thanks.

A: Your best bet is to thumb through a color chart along with the owner for different model and year vehicles and pick one out. This way, a year, model and code can be put on the vehicle should it need any paint work in the future.

Q: What type of prayers are actually answered by God?
I've been told that I can't expect him to give me material things, money, etc. (No '67 Chevelle for me!) I've also been told that he has answered prayers for a new house, and, believe it or not, a car. He's apparently answered many, many prayers for some of the users here who had an illness, or who had a family member who was ill. But, he lets some people - kids included - die of cancer and other horrible things in spite of the prayers of many people. Exactly how should I phrase a prayer to him, for it to be effective? What's the big secret that nobody has yet told me?

A: none of them are answered im an atheist and my fiancee was a muslim and her entire family prayed for her to get better but she didnt she died so it makes me think prayers arent answered

i want restorable cars, preferrably no engine... i wanna restore from ground up... how much would it cost? the cars are: 72' or 67' mustang 70' Cuda chevelle ss 67' camaro where can i find any of these restorable projects?

A: my husband and i are into muscle cars and i think your best bet is to go to a book store of some sort and look for what is called Hemmings Motor News. you can find cars, assesories, parts hell even window channels there. If you go online Im sure they have a website now but Id buy the book its something you wont have to surf online and your can tab and reference. Its the sh*t for true Muscle car enthusiasts. Good Luck
