Q: How to program a 2008 Chrysler 300 Key Fob?
I have the original valet key to my 300 that fits in the key fob, but the key fob I have is from a different 2008 300. Is there anyway I can program it to work for my car?
A: No, bite the bullet and get the correct key.
Q: will rims off a 2008 chrysler 300 fit on a 2005 jeep grand cherokee?
i want to buy rims for my 2005 jeep grand cherokee. Someone is selling their rims that were on a 2008 chrysler 300. Will they fit? I think they might, both are chrysler made cars and they are both 5 lugs.
A: You need to measure the pattern from center to center of each hole and find out the 5 bolt spacing. If thats the same they will mount but if they are wider it will cause a problem with brakes or rubbing so measure the width of the rim as well .Make sure they are both the same size around or it will throw off the speedo.(I.E. 15's,16's,17's)
Q: How do you program a key for a 2008 Chrysler 300?
I just bought a new key for my 300, And I wanna know if i can program it my self. Or would it be better to take it to a dealer? Thanks
A: If you have 2 other keys programmed to it, you can program a third key yourself, instructions are below.
If you only have one other key programmed, you'll have to have the dealer program it for you. A big advantage to having the dealer program the keys for you is that it will clear the programming for any previously programmed keys so they won't start the car (they will still unlock it, though). (such as keys that are lost, stolen, or were kept by the previous owner)
Steps to program the key yourself:
1. Insert the first programmed key into the ignition and turn to the on position for at least 3 seconds (but less than 15 seconds). Turn the ignition switch off and remove the first key. (On position means the run position, don't start the car)
2. Within 15 seconds of removing the first key, insert the second programmed key, turn to the on position. After ten seconds, a chime will sound and the alarm light will flash. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Within 60 seconds, insert the new key and turn to the on position. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound and the alarm light will stop flashing, turn on again for 3 seconds, and then turn off.
The new key is now programmed. You can program up to 8 keys to your vehicle.
Q: 2008 chrysler 300 it will not start. when key is turned to acc no lights in dash and no horn?
its something to do with my gps to ignition
A: We've seen a rash of failing Wireless Control Module's lately. It's the module that controls security and other features mounted on the key cylinder and it will cause exactly that symptom..
Try This.
Remove the IOD fuse, It's the fuse enclosed in a black or clear holder in the fuse block in the trunk. It wont come all the way out, just squeeze the tabs on the sides and lift it up about 1/4 inch to disengage it. (if you are confused you can find detailed info on the location of the IOD fuse in your owners manual)
Wait about a minute and push the fuse back in.
If the car starts after doing this call your dealer on Monday and tell them you have a bad WCM. They'll know what you mean.
Best of luck !
Q: Whats the cost of changing the supporters of a 2008 chrysler 300?

Q: I have a 2008 chrysler 300 with a rattle in the front drivers side wheel well.?
Seems to be on and off and increases when I hit the brakes and while turning right anyone have any ideas?
A: Probably your outer tie rod. I have seen many, many very loose/worn outer tie rods. Wheel bearing, rarely. You have a 2008, so if you have less than 36,000 miles, it's warrantied. No matter what, get it inspected by someone knowledgeable .
Q: Oil Filter 2008 Chrysler 300 Touring?
Where is the oil filter located (specifically) on a 2008 Chrysler 300 touring edition. I can't seem to find it.
Thanks
A: Remove the belly pan, it is on the bottom of the engine near the oil pan.
Q: will a 2008 chrysler 300 radio/cd player work on a 2005 chrysler 300,if i try to install it?
i want to buy one but i donno if it will can any1 help me
A: Yes most factory units all have the same basic plug in hook ups so if the unit fits properly you shouldn't have any hook up problems. It's possible you might need to rewire some wires but the wire color codes should be the exact same but note that manufactures tend to use whatever wires they have handy and many times you'll find even the wiring diagrams or schematics vary from the actual colors of the wire used etc.
Hope that helps and best of luck.
Q: what does the Oil change alert light look like on a Chrysler 300?
I have a 2008 Chrysler 300 and i think it is overdue for an oil change but the owners manual says that i will see an alert on the instrument panel when i need one..question is, what does it look like, they don't have a picture...is it the oil light lit up when the car first starts or just a random other light?
thanks
A: yes it is the oil light that lights up when you start your car. if it stays lit up you need to change the oil
Q: 2006 Chrysler 300 vs 2008 ford fusion?
Both cars in great condition. The 300 is loaded and is very nice. Both run great. Don't know which one to choose. Please help. I don't want any Chrysler or ford sucks bs. Just tell me what you think to help me make my decision.
A: Ford . They are not in financial trouble like Chrysler is.
Part of Chryslers problem was poor quality so it is a used car with no warranty.
Ford is way better quality than chrysler.
Q: should i trade my chrysler 300 for a infiniti g35?
i have a 2008 chrysler 300 touring and it's california salvaged with 59000 mile should i trade that PLUS 4000 dollars for a 2004 infiniti g35 with 29000 that is also salvaged
its a rebuildible title also in california
im not going to get rid of salvaged titles i need to know if that deal would be fair
A: I wouldn't. Both are worth nothing. It would be unwise to pay $4,000 to switch from one nothing to another nothing.

Q: What do I do about my chrysler 300 I just bought?
Ok, so my husband and I bought a 2008 Chrysler 300 and then, 3 days after that they announced on the news that 34 chrysler dealers would be closing down, but they didn't say much more. And of course, the one I went to happens to be closing and soon. So I need advise on who to turn to before it's to late?
They threw in a free upgraded wood trim package for the inside, because we don't like the color of trim that's in there. The salesman told us the guy who handles all this got let go a few days after we were there and he ended up feeding us lies for the past 4 weeks acting like he was doing something and actually wasn't doing anything about resolving our issue so I spoke to the General Mgr and he said they were in the process of letting people go immediately because that dealership would be closing. He didn't tell me when exactly, nor do I think he knows. But he said they still need to take care of us and he ordered the part and said it's coming from Canada, so it may take a little while to get here but be patient and they'd get us taken care of. I figure 2 weeks tops! But I don't know if I have 2 weeks!
So what do I do if they close the dealership before my part gets there? Who do I go to? I think I'm screwed because I know when we signed papers at the day of the purchase I signed one that said they owed me 1 upgrade trim package to be installed for free. Something like that but he didn't give me a copy of it and I never asked for it because I made the #1 mistake, I trusted them.
--Should I call their corporate office now and get them involved before it's too late, and all the workers get let go and there's no one there for corporate to talk to?
A: Well, the corporate office will just tell you the same thing that some Chrysler dealerships will be affected. You can go again in the same location and tell them to ship it to your location or a dealer that is not affected and make that 10 mile or more trip to get your trim.
