Q: Where is / or does the 2008 Dodge Charger have a cabin filter?
2008 Charger SE with 3.5 V-6, nothing fancy, where is the cabin filter if there is one and how accesible is it to get to. I am temp disabled with a new knee and have a little trouble gettin into tight places. Any help would be appreciated
A: im not real sure on that one but i think its located on the outside of the car under the hood on the passengers side,there should be lid that has a clip or two that holds it on,remove those and lift the filter out,good luck.
Q: can i put a 26 inrim on my 2008 dodge charger?
i have a 2008 Dodge Charger, im goin to be driving it everyday but i really like the look of a HUGE rim on the chargers. what should i do to get a 26 on my charger that will give me a nice ride still?
A: A wheel that size would have to have a bigger OD tire [outside diameter],
this puts the speedometer and all of the rest of the cars computer systems out of whack. And it voids your warrenty, when you plus size wheels and tires you want to have a bigger rim, but you don't want a taller tire. The inside diameter of the tire can change to match the wheel but the outside stays the same. A 24 inch wheel is as big as you can go and keep the OD with in an inch of a 17 or 18 inch wheel. A 24 will leave only about 2 inches of sidewall so every bump would bend the wheel and ruin the tire. 22's are standard on an SRT Charger, 18's on a R/T Charger and 17's on the others. I upgraded my 07 R/T to a set of SRT wheels and tires. I got the look you want my speedo and computers read right and I can live with the harsh ride on a daily basis. With a 1" taller tire if your speedo says 65 your going 67.6 mph.
Q: What is the best exhaust system for a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T?
I mostly want performance out of the exhaust. But i would also like it to "growl" I want an exhaust system that is the least restrictive and adds the most horsepower/torque possible.
A: At the most any cat back is only going to get to 5hp/10tq. That being said, the ones that give the most performance and sound the best are Corsa, Zoomers or SLP Loudmouth 1.
Q: Where is the regular keyhole in the 2008 Dodge Charger?
My friend's electronic key got wet, so the car won't start. Is there a regular key ignition hole in the car, and where? Thanks!
A: There is a key inside the remote. That key will only unlock the door. You can then use the remote, even though it got wet, to start the car. There is a little switch thing that you push and then pull the key out. I have an 08' Charger and thats how it is on mine. You cannot start the car with that key, but you can with the remote that has the buttons.
Q: Could you put a 2008 Bentley GT V12 engine in a 2008 Dodge Charger that already has a HEMI?

A: That sounds like a very cool engine swap and yes it is possible .... everything and anything is possible as long as it is in your budget.
If you are all about unique, go with the swap.
If it is about the Horsepower, I would just throw a ASM Supercharger Kit and some internals in it, which would give you 550hp ( with only 6lbs of boost ) versus 510hp in the Bentley GT which would allow you to save a ton of cash and make more horsepower than the Bentley engine.
I am confident in saying that this is a very unique swap and if you are going to have a shop do it for you, you should make sure that the shop is capable and not going to rip you off.
I do not think that any shop is going to be able to give you a firm price on the swap and will be running blind until they hit an issue that has to be resolved, and then, how much will each issue cost to resolve?
An ASM Supercharger installed will run you $10k - $11K including internals upgrade which you must do, and I would jump the boost up to 12 - 15lbs on that bad boy and I bet you can push 600 hp
And off the top of my head, i am going to venture a guess at about $25K for a Bentley Engine, and I am willing to bet that you are talking $10K - $15K to make it work.
You have to ask yourself whether unique is worth 4 times as much to you.
But I do think that a Bentley swap would be awesome!

Without any superchargers or turbos. Although nitrous is ok. All other mods are welcome

A: about 50- more than it has now without adding a turbo to it,exhaust mods and a programmer will only do so much for it,good luck.

shouldnt have listened to wikipedia, lol, but either way, its a v6 3.5L. i hear the tips are just for show, not looking for a race car sound cause its just a v6(lol) but something smooth and deep.
A: there is no such thing as a charger LX. They have the SE, SE plus, SXT, RT, RT track pack, Daytona RT, SRT 8, Super Bee SRT 8, Mopar Edition, Hennessy SRT8
in either case the V6's will become very loud and they will have a lot of drone. This is that annoying sound that you get from cheap exhaust systems. The only way to not get a droning exhaust is to purchase a Tubi exhaust system for a Mercedes E320 and stick it on the charger. This is very expensive though.
EDIT: don't use a glass pack, there are many many many reasons why you are not allowed to use them, but, to name a few: Noise desible level goes above an 8 which is against the law, glass packs automatically void out your smog registration, and in some states you will have to re-smog it once you put the muffler back on. Glass packs are meant for classic muscle, not modern eco family sports sedans. Glass packs will shake your head loose.

ive got a 2008 charger with 10k miles. the mileage im getting is terrible. i do have 22's on and drive in a lot of stop and go traffic. but there is no way i should be getting 170-200 miles on a tank of gas. what could be the problem
A: What do you expect? Your running 22" dubs on that car. What was the mileage like before you put those dubs on? Take the dubs off and see what you get after that.

It will ask for your car information and point you in the right direction. The prices there are high but it will give you the info your looking for as far as size and location of the speakers. Find what you like for replacements and do a Yahoo search for the brand you want to buy and find the best price.

A: Car Guy...you should think about getting a Charger with at least a 3.5 engine. Think here for a second. It's a 4000lbs car...a 2.7L 170hp(130 wheel horse power) engine will struggle to move that big heavy body. You will NOT see 20mpg...that's a bunch of BS. That small engine has to work harder to move that heavy car causing it to get poor mpg's. Plus the 2.7 engine is not a good stable engine to begin with. Just google the 2.7 chrysler engine and you will see nothing but complaints and lawsuits.
A charger with a 3.5 engine will probably cost you around the same if you buy used, maybe a grand more but well worth it. The insurance will not make a difference going from 2.7 to 3.5. These are family sedans, not sport/muscle cars. Only the SRT8 model gets higher insurance rates...why? well because it's a BEAST!!! So definitely go for a Charger with at least a 3.5 engine.

A: radio shack also has the wiring harness to fit that car without ordering it online,i got one for an 07 though them before,the 07 and 08,s was the same and i know they had it for the 07 model one,good luck.

I recently purchased a 2008 Dodge Charger and I am wondering if and where I can get a front license plate bracket. I have seen other Chargers online with the black plastic bracket in the front so they must be out there somewhere. I live in a state where that just made front and back plate mandatory. Anyone know have any info that will help me in my search? Thanks
