Q: Mercedes E-class 2010 vs Dodge ram 3500 2010? Which is stronger?
I want your opinion, and if you know for fact than I wouldn't mind knowing that either. My brother thinks the Mercedes is stronger but I think the Dodge is...

A: Stronger in what respect? The E-Claa is a superior vehicle in terms of engineering and is much safer to drive and offers better protection in a collision. The Ram is a medium/heavy pick-up with a diesel engine or V-10 petrol. It has lower engineering standards, as befits it's heritage, and the two do not compete in the same market. The E-Class is better as a normal car. The Ram would be a better load hauler, and off-road (though it is not too great at either role) but would cost more to run. In short, a difficult question to answer though reliability favours the E-class too.

Q: What truck do you think is better, 2010 Ford F-150 or Dodge Ram 1500?
I like the F-150 better but i really like the cargo box on the side of the Ram.

A: if you constantly need to haul heavy loads the Ford is a lot better. otherwise the Rams new suspension makes it smoother for daily driving

Q: Do you like the new Dodge Ram's 09-2010 sport?
I love how they make the new dodge ram especially the sport with the bigger, wider rear doors and different front ends. The truck in general looks so much better. Who agrees?

A: I agree, and I drive a 2009 Ram Big Horn Edition. The thing pulls like crazy with the 395 HP hemi.

Q: where is the trip odometer on dodge ram 2010?
same as above

A: The trip odometer and odometer are co-located in the bottom of the speedometer display. The odometer reading will be displayed when you open the door. There is a button at the lower left of the speedometer to toggle between trip and odometer, and Electronic Vehicle Information Center, if the vehicle is equipped. That feature used to be in the center of the overhead console. 2010 Ram owner manual, page 205. If you don't have one, download one here: http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html

Q: 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega-Cab help?
Okay this might sound crazy but..., Should I feel safe letting my Daughter own and drive this 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega-Cab to school and work and back everyday? and shes 17 going on 18 in January, but her Uncle said that she could have it (and hes really good to us) and he is going to have the 2010 Dodge Ram 1500, (he wants to down size) and we already bought it from him, but I don't know if that was the best move... What do you think? Will she be okay... for the most part... Her driving record is as clean as a wisel! only thing I tihnk is funny is... Both her parents are volvo drivers... (me and my hub) thanks everyone again... I think when he bought the car it was around almost $50,000 (it was 47,000) the miles on it are very low, 17,000 ish. and I know the gas mileage is pretty bad... and is Desil... but we can get over it... I know its only about 9MPG...

A: that's a really big truck for anyone to drive, she will be safe though ,but id really think about this ,those are hard to judge your distance in and its going to be hard for her to learn to get use to drive this big of a vehicle, all i can do is wish you all good luck on this one,

Q: How do you adjust your oil pump in a diesel truck to make it blow more unburnt fuel (black smoke)?
I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500. I have dual stacks but i want some more smoke to come out. Any suggestions? Maybe twin oil pumps?

A: The oil pump pumps oil to the moving parts inside the engine. You mean the injection pump. Your truck is a common-rail motor, you cannot adjust anything to blow more smoke. Fueling is controlled electronically, so you would need the aftermarket to get you going. You have a problem though. Your DPF (diesel particulate filter) will clog with the added soot, and a trip to the dealership you will go with a check engine light. The fuel mod will void the warranty. You could remove the DPF but you would no longer be smog legal. Besides, smoke is just wasted power. It also contaminates your crankcase oil. Quit trying to look cool. Large amounts of smoke just says that you didn't spend any money on getting more air in to the motor (intake and turbo mods), and your just overfueling the truck.

Q: Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel Mega Cab (Lights question)?
Hi, My 17 year old Daughter drives a 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel Mega Cab, I know its a big car and everything you don't have to tell me that... that's what most people say... like "WHAT!?" but anyways... LOL my question is... "Is there a way to just have the signal lights (or parking lights) on while you drive?) She and I are not sure what button or Switch it is... I don't have to mess with the lights on my car because I have a 2010 Volvo XC90 which has all time running lights (or daytime running lights) Thanks again for your help if you can answer!

A: if you take it back to the dealer and ask them to they can program this feature out of it so only the normal lights will work on it ,there is a way to disable it but its hard to explain and also hard to do if your not real familiar with wiring, there isn't any one switch though that will turn this feature off,ask the dealer to do this and they will be more than glad to help you with it,good luck.

Q: Just a few questions about the 1994 dodge ram?
I'm going to get my drivers license soon and I want to get a dodge ram. It's a real nice pickup truck it's by far my favorite. I'd prefer to get a 1994 version because first of all my uncle has one and I've always liked that truck and more importantly I like the nice neat looking Dodge ram's from 1994-2002 better than the big hulking 2008, 2009 and 2010 versions. So I have a few questions about these versions before I get one. First of all the I'm a real big fisherman so I want to know the maximum towing capacity because I prefer to use boats over 3000 lbs, you think it could pull that? Also, what are it's abilities on dirt roads or off-road because I also like to hunt and I may need to drive it into the woods to retreive a deer carcass or something. How much can it hold in the back? I may want to carry an ATV in the back or a row-boat, maybe help some friends move things. Is it a gas guzzler? How many miles per gallon? Does it have power steering? Next, Can I get one with four wheel drive? What about Air bags? Does it have them. Finally, would I be able to hook up a GPS system to the dashboard? Preferably one of those talking ones. I know it's alot but I'm sure all you car guys out there would be able to answer these. Thanks

A: yall like pop-tarts

Q: How Much Should I Offer For This 2009 Dodge Ram Laramie?
I'm not really an expert at buying vehicles, but I've done a bit of research as to what to offer for a new car. I've basically got it down to taking the invoice price from edmunds, minus customer cash and dealer cash incentives, minus the holdback then adding about 3% back onto that price so the dealer is still making money.. a lot less than msrp.. but still making money. As I have figured it, that figure comes out about 33k with invoice pricing, and 31k with edmunds TMV pricing. However, what it doesn't take into account is that the truck, despite being a 2009.. has 4600 miles on it since it was a 'demo vehicle' and the guy said one of the executives at the dealership was driving it. I don't know how much to factor in for that, as it takes 12% off the 36k miles warranty. I offered 29k initially, not having crunched the numbers. The dealer insists on holding firm at 33k flat plus Tax,Tag,Title. I'm wondering if I should be taking this deal or if I'm not crazy to want a better deal? I don't see a lot of these being driven around especially with Chrysler in Chapter 11 and the 2010's coming out in a couple of months. What do you think?

A: The following will potentially save you thousands...go to consumerreports.org, and order a new car price report. It costs around $16, and is make/model specific. Everybody I know (including myself) that has bought one has saved significantly more than just going on their own. The report will tell you EXACTLY what the dealer paid for your car. It will show you what rebates are currently available, including the manufacturer to dealer rebates that aren't made public. Most people negotiate DOWN from some "invoice" number, or "msrp". These are fictional numbers that the dealer wants you to know. This report will show you how to negotiate UP from the bottom line number (what the dealer has invested in the car). CR claims that the average savings is about $1500, vs. going it alone. I actually saved over 2k, and I've heard others say they've saved even more. Good luck to you. And when you've saved tons of money, please be sure to tell everyone about it. These crooks at the dealerships can finally be held in check.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: New Truck Financing...Smartest Route?
I just bought a new 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. I had no credit so my dad needed to co-sign with me. We financed the entire amount through the dealership for a 60 month loan at 5.75%. Anyway, I have $7,250 that I got from my old truck, but I didn't receive it until I after I made the deal on my truck. So, what I had initially planned to do was use $5,000 of that as a down payment at my credit union and use the other $2,200 for registration, and a couple months payments. So, now I have this opened financing with the dealership. The percentage rate is only 1% more than my credit union was offering, so its not too bad. My idea was to instead of refinancing my loan immediately with my local credit union for the slightly lower interest rate and be able to get a lower monthly payment by using my $5,000 down payment, I would instead just put that $5,000 into an account and have automatic withdraw for a year, and then once i establish some credit, refinance with my credit union for the remaining 5 years. Is this dumb? Should I instead just take the $5,000 as a down payment at my local credit union and refinance with them? Or what? Thanks! I know its confusing. I had also planned while allowing the current financing plan to withdraw my $450 a month payment, to all be paying an extra $300 a month towards the principle to help knock the loan amount down quicker to help me achieve a better monthly payment come next year. Thank u 4 ur response, tho this is a good idea, I was willing to spend the extra money in order to cut my dad free from the loan early. bad idea?

A: Financed cars is more expensive to insurance cause it requires full coverage. You can compare how much you would pay for full coverage of this car using this tool - carquotes.fateback.com

Q: 6.7 Cummins Diesel Performance. What are some of the best things I can do?
Buying a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins right after boot camp. I got a dealership to make sure there will be one almost exactly how I want for after boot camp. What are the best performance mods I can do and what brands sound I look into. I'm looking for massive power gains. I will be doing this over time because quite honestly I will not to be able to afford all of it at once. Links to websites would be great as well. I am aware of the EPA bull shit they put on them. First thing I'm doing is one of those delete kits so I can build it up and not have it throw codes at me. Also I know that I will have to beef up the transmission but instead of doing that what are some good aftermarket transmissions I can put on it?

A: I have a friend in construction he has a 6.7 with everything deleted and is using a "Smarty" tuner to kill codes and had an Edge box before that, he told me he liked the Edge better cause it actively displays several different engine temps and things like that. He has just over 100k on it now and just recently fixed the head gasket but admitted he would not have had to but its no fun having all that power and not use it. He has his Smarty set around 100hp. He has a service body on it and pulls a skidsteer as often as 3-4 days a week so it gets worked. It also has a manual trans, replaced the clutch with either a BD or an ATS.
