Q: what is the rim size of original rims on a 1965 ford mustang?
in inches.

A: I was a original owner of a new 65 6cyl, it came with optional 14in rims made with 4 lug centers, a lot of them had the 13's, all V8's came with 14's except the Shelbys, they had 15's

Q: 1965 ford mustang-engine dies when turning right?
I'm not afraid to admit, This one confuses me and I've been an auto tech over 11 years. My friend has a 1965 ford mustang with 289ci engine, nothing stock about it though, Edelbrock intake and carb, aftermarket exhaust, Elec ignition etc etc ,all that stuff- I havint been out to look at it yet but he says that when he turns right the engine stalls. Happens 9 times out of ten. ........ .... Vacuum?? ........Pinched fuel line?? ..... Yea I'll admit, I'm stumped.

A: Well my experience says to do this, wiggle the wiring harness to the dist. from the firewall and also install a ground wire to the motor from the frame AND battery, Also this may seem strange but check the oil level haven't seen it but have heard of this. Also what about the carburetor float setting, if set to low would cause it to run out of fuel while turning.

Q: Is it possible to make a 1965 ford mustang a hybrid?
Sorry, I know nothing about cars. I've always loved the look of a vintage mustangs like the 60s mustangs. Went on a ride in a friends 66 mustang and fell in love with it years ago. The thing is, the economy is pretty bad, and I'm in college. I'm in the market for a car, but I'm wondering if a 1965 ford mustang can be full efficient in any way... like making it into a hybrid?... Also, is insurance more expensive for a classic car? Thanks guys, just debating on getting one or not.

A: sure if you have some Friends help we have converted a few cars to all electric but it would ruin a perfectly good car get a stock six it's a good one to use. the 289's stroked to 360's would just spin in cerciles anyway with out a ton of add on frame work and eve nseen with the ford 427 with quad jets in them heck burns a gallon just to starty it but with the inline six they were good motors and good on gas and make the car more valueable please don't ruin a classic unless your going to fit it with jet engines,

Q: How much is a 1965 ford mustang worth?
I have a 1965 Ford Mustang and it is pretty clean. I was wondering how much it would be worth it runs and everything street legal also. it has a 302 engine with 289 heads bord out .040 over with a oversize cam the body is clean inside is clean shop kept only primer paint it has a c4 tranny Automatic. The owner before said that it was built for racing but I have had it for 7 years and its been a fixer upper so I haven't ever raced it or got it over a 100 so. I have just started driving it like a month ago the 7 years has been me rebuilding it and getting it back on the road. We have just been working on it as we get the money to put into it.

A: $5,000 max if you just drove it for 7 years. How's the headliner? Rebuild suspension? Leaks water through cowl when it rains? window seals not cracked? Needs paint.... good chrome? Rust around rear window? Quarter panels? Rear sags? The engine is only interesting, not stock.

Q: 1965 Ford Mustang.....?
I love fords... mustangs are my favorite.... my favorite year modle is a 1965 and I want one so bad. Its my dream car!!! If you can, please help me out and tell me EVERYTHING you know about this model!!!!

A: Just type Mustang into your search engine and there will be quite a number of sites with all kinds of info for this car. My dad had a '65 when I was a kid. When I turned 16, of course I wanted it, but that was a number of years ago and Mustangs at that time had just started increasing in value, so he stuck me in a '65 Sedan DeVille for my first car. When I was a senior in high school I had 2 different '70 Mustangs. The first one got rear ended and if the thought that the gas tank being just under the trunk and the firey death that it would cause if you got hit had any truth to it, then I wouldn't be here answering your question today. And if I were to tell you everything that I know about the car, there would not be enough space to say it all. Mechanically speaking, the car will not have as good of breaking as the modern cars. And carburetors are not as reliable and as fuel efficient as the fuel injected cars of today. They were available with the straight six or the 289 cubic inch V8. Tire size was F70-14. No radial tire available back then, and certainly no metric sizes available. On my '70, I had some F-60's on back and F-78's on front. A street version of "fats and skinnies" without being unsafe for the street. Once again, I could go on and on and on and on........ Anyway, go to car shows, just look for them on the street (although you don't see as many today as you used to), and read all the Ford magazines and books that you can. And check out the Mustang web sites.
