Q: When is the release of 2010 model of Ford Escape?
Ford details? In the Philippines

A: The 2010 Escape was released a couple of months ago. the 2009's were sold out during the "Cash for Clunkers" program. Escape continues to be a very popular model for Ford, and is in high-demand/low-supply, at Ford dealers all over the country. For more information on the 2010 Escape you can download a digital brochure and view local dealer inventory from Ford website https://securemg.fordvehicles.com/brochures/ EDIT: For information about Ford products in the Philippines, please go to Fords Global sites: http://www.ford.com/about-ford/company-information/ford-international-websites http://www.ford.com.ph/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=DFY/PH I hope this additional information (which was added after you added details to your question) helps.

Q: How much would it be if I got a custom color for a new 2010 Ford Escape?
There's a problem. I really enjoy the "light ice blue" color on the Ford Escape. This color, however, only comes on Hybrids. I was only interested in getting the XLT model, which is 10K less than the Hybrid. So, basically, there's no way of getting the blue color unless I pay for the hybrid, which I don't want (and can't pay for). Then I thought of custom colors. How much would it be if I got the "Ice blue" for the Ford Escape XLT? Thank you!!

A: The cheapest rout would be to get one as close to the color as possible. To paint a car a different color requires taking the entire car apart to paint all the surfaces. If you get one that is close, then you can have just the exterior painted. All of the trim still has to come off, but it is still cheaper than painting everything. As long as you can stand the color difference of the inside of the doors to the outside. Any color you paint the car is going to be expensive for a quality job done with quality materials. Your looking at around 5000 to 7000$.

Q: As for the 2010 Ford Escape, any idea on pricing??r=1245715251?

A: The '09 Escape starts at $20,435 w/o taxes, destination, etc. Most of the changes from '09 to '10 are either inexpensive addons or options. MyKey'll be standard on XLT and Limited trim, yet not base trim. I'd expect they'd pass off maybe a couple hundred, if that much, to tack on the base price. The spotter mirror is a very cheap, yet functional item that shouldn't affect price at all. Active Park Assist is also an option. So with all that info in mind, I'd assume it shouldn't come out to more than $21k (for base trim, of course). Not sure how upper trims might be affected yet though.

Q: Are the 2010 Ford Escape's reliable?
Will it last me 10 years problem free (not including daily maintenance) ?

A: No one will tell you if they're reliable or not because no one has had the car long enough to know what are the fault of a 2010 car. But if you get one and it has problems you can always take it right back to the dealer and let the warranty worry about it.

Q: Which SUV/Crossover is better 2010 Chevy or Ford.......?
I am stuck between a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ AWD and a 2010 Ford Escape Limited I4 AWD. I wanted to know which has: Better MPG? More reliable: more comfortable? Better on handling?

A: Hands down the Ford Escape is more reliable, better quality. FRom what I hear underpowered tho with the 4 cylinder. We have an 01 Escape all wheel drive with th e3.0 V6. It gets a solid 20 MPG in town Excellent ride, comfort, handling. We traded in a junk GM S10 money pit on the Escape. Never again will a GM vehicle disgrace our driveway.

Q: Mazda Tribute vs Ford Escape?
I am getting a new car, either a 2010 Ford Escape or a 2010 Mazda Tribute. Does anyone have any recommendations, or know which car would be a better choice? Thanks.

A: When it comes time to choose between those two vehicles, there are only three reasons which would sway your choice from one to the other. First off, you should probably know that these two vehicles share all of their mechanical components, which means neither has an edge over the other in any measureable. This is due to the fact that Ford builds the Tribute for Mazda; thus the Tribute is really just a Ford Escape wearing Mazda clothing. Ford also does the same for Mercury, which has the Escape-based Mariner. If you're going after a hybrid model, the components are still the same between the Ford, the Mazda, and the Mercury. You should choose based on three factors: style, price, and handling. Style is entirely up to you. Decide which one looks better to you both inside and out. Price is easy. If there are significant discounts on the Mazda in your area versus the Ford, or vice-versa, then go for the one that's cheaper. Handling is the only possible way you might be able to differentiate these vehicles if the two other choices still leave you indecisive. In the past, Mazda has generally tuned the suspension setup on vehicles to handle better, which often results in a slightly rougher ride. The Ford, on the other hand, has a softer suspension that is set up for more rugged use, particularly off-road. Lastly, should you decide to include the Mercury in your choices, it has the softest suspension setup for the smoothest ride. Basically, go for the Ford if you intend to drive off-road at all or use the vehicle for hauling and towing. Go for the Mazda if you like a little more fun in your drive. Go for the Mercury if you want luxury at an affordable price and value a smooth ride. I hope this has answered your question. If you have any more, please feel free to ask.

Q: what is better a 2008 ford escape XLT or a 2010 chevrolet cobalt LT?
in detail also which one is better? please

A: cobalt would probably be better better gas mileage can fit in small places the easiest will probably do what you need gets you from place to place like the escape

Q: are the backseats of the ford escape 2009 or 2010 comfortable?

A: depends on who is riding in them, they aren't that comfortable for tall people

Q: buying a ford escape hybrid?
we are considering trading in our pontiac vibe for a 2010 ford escape OR escape hybrid. i am wondering if whether it costs more to maintain a hybrid vs. non-hybrid. I am talking abou schedualed maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) is there an added component to that for the electrical system of the hybrid?? Does anyone own an Escape (hybrid or not), what do you think of it? Thanks

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: are the 2010 and2007 ford escapes big cars?
i'm looking to buy one but i don't want a real BIG suv, i'm only 17. if its any bigger or as big as a Saturn outlook form about 2008 -07 then its way to big ! and i need to know if the breaks are soft. like do you have to press the breaks a little or a lot for the car to stop

A: no escapes are nice size suvs. my mom has one and it handles like a corvette. no lie. that thing corners so nicely and it brakes right when u touch the pedal. i have a 2004 mercedes clk and it handles pretty nice also, but nothing like my moms escape. i really do recomend getting one.

Q: Is the video screen built into the rearview mirror a standard LCD screen?
I have a 2010 ford escape with a video screen on the rear view mirror for the reverse camera. The stereo already has audio input jacks. I was wondering if I can splice in a video source into the lcd. I'd also have to find how to have power running to it since it only powers on when the car is put in reverse. Would this work and be easy to do without to many mods?

A: Its not an easy modification, and if you mess with it and something goes wrong Ford will void your new car warranty. Also the screen in the mirror is only 2" which is very small,It would be more sensible to install a screen in the visor, but its your car do what you want.

Q: How much of a down payment is necessary on a new car?
I will be buying my first new car very soon and was wondering what my downpayment would be like. I'm going to be buying a 2010 Ford Escape. Sticker price is around 23k. What would an expected down payment be on something like that? Also, how much could a dealer potentially knock the price down do? Is 21.5k reasonable? Thanks!

A: In US, the minimum downpayment is about 10%... I would however suggest that you try to make as much downpayment as possible to ensure that your EMI amount is less and you feel a lot comfortable paying the loan amount.

Q: Jeep Liberty or Ford Escape?
I am looking for my first car and I am getting a used one. So it will be around 2005ish-2007. I LOVE the 2002 Jeep Liberty but my mom said that is to old to get and my dad says all jeeps are dangerous. So I started looking at the Ford Escape and I love the 2010 one but I know I can't get that. So baiscily I was looking for reviews on these cars and if you have one tell me what year and if you like it or not! THANKS!

A: I am an avid reader and subscriber to Consumer Reports. They have the Ford Escape as an overall good and reliable vehicle from 2004-2010. The jeep Liberty however is on their list of vehicles you should avoid buying because of the overall maintenance issues and low reliability. Hope this helps you in your decision.

Q: what is better fwd or all wheel drive?
I am buying a 2010 Ford Escape just want to know

A: FWD: Pros - decent handling in wintery/off-roading conditions, good stability Cons - Put your foot down (Not that you will, but it's an example) and it'll torque-steer (essentially steer in any given direction without driver input), tyres won't last as long (especially, obviously, the fronts, as they're doing absolutely everything), generally they don't handle that well on normal tarmac (understeer, where instead of turning into the corner the car tries to run wide). AWD: Pros - Great all-around handling on any surface, good stability, higher-end AWD systems allow you to change the bias of power between the front and rear wheels, depending on the situation Cons - Still understeers like FWD does, except not to as much of an extent, more expensive to repair, most AWD systems are heavier than conventional FWD or RWD systems which can increase fuel consumption. Overall AWD is better but it does not really matter that much, as the cons of FWD really only shine through when you push the car to the limits. If you're doing off-roading though AWD is the better option.
