Q: Pontiac Sunfire, Buick Regal, or Hyundai Sonata?
Hello! I will be getting my first car in a few months, and I would like to get one of these vehicles: 2005 Pontiac Sunfire http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=260491699&dealer_id=1390957&rdm=1250964091260&num_records=25&systime=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1997&engine=&keywordsrep=115117110114111111102&keywordsfyc=__c3Vucm9vZg%2C%2C__&certified=&body_code=27&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=50&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&make=&color=&keywords_display=sunroof&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=100&body_style=CONVERT&body_style=SUV&body_style=COUPE&body_style=SEDAN&drive=&default_sort=priceASC&seller_type=b&position=top&ref=srl&max_mileage=60000&style_flag=2&sort_type=priceASC&feature8=rear+window+defroster&feature7=power+windows&feature6=power+mirrors&address=43607&feature5=power+door+locks&advanced=y&feature1=cd+player&end_year=2010&transmission=Automatic&doors=&max_price=7500&compare=260491699&compare=266185326&compare=263471482 2002 Buick Regal http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=266185326&dealer_id=64439949&rdm=1250964091260&num_records=25&systime=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1997&engine=&keywordsrep=115117110114111111102&keywordsfyc=__c3Vucm9vZg%2C%2C__&certified=&body_code=27&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=50&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&make=&color=&keywords_display=sunroof&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=100&body_style=CONVERT&body_style=SUV&body_style=COUPE&body_style=SEDAN&drive=&default_sort=priceASC&seller_type=b&position=top&ref=srl&max_mileage=60000&style_flag=2&sort_type=priceASC&feature8=rear+window+defroster&feature7=power+windows&feature6=power+mirrors&address=43607&feature5=power+door+locks&advanced=y&feature1=cd+player&end_year=2010&transmission=Automatic&doors=&max_price=7500&compare=260491699&compare=266185326&compare=263471482 2003 Hyundai Sonata http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=246107264&dealer_id=62754189&car_year=2003&rdm=1250964091260&num_records=25&systime=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1997&engine=&keywordsrep=115117110114111111102&keywordsfyc=__c3Vucm9vZg%2C%2C__&certified=&body_code=27&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=50&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=n&make=&color=&keywords_display=sunroof&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=100&body_style=CONVERT&body_style=SUV&body_style=COUPE&body_style=SEDAN&drive=&default_sort=priceASC&seller_type=b&position=top&max_mileage=60000&style_flag=2&sort_type=mileageASC&feature8=rear+window+defroster&feature7=power+windows&feature6=power+mirrors&address=43607&feature5=power+door+locks&advanced=y&feature1=cd+player&end_year=2010&transmission=Automatic&doors=&max_price=7500&cardist=52&standard=false&rdpage=thumb In your honest opinion, which do you think is BEST OF THE VEHICLES ABOVE? I plan on getting a better and newer car when I am older. The car I am going to buy will mainly be used to drive to school, work, and the mall. I am in high school. If you think if I can get a better car for my price, please let me know. Also, my parents have State Farm, so tell me which car would be low on insurance. Thank you for your time and effort into answering my questions. It is well appreciated.

A: I would go for the 2003 Hyundai Sonata. It has more features for the money... I saw it has leather and it only has 49k miles.. seems like a good first car.. The Pontiac wont be very reliable and the quality didn't do any favors... The Buick, enough said... It's not really first car material.. maybe last car though... I would also recommend you look at: 2001 Honda Accord 2003 Saab 9-3 2006 Kia Rio Acura Integra or CL 1997-2001 Honda Prelude (More reliable, better quality, and more appeal) others I found in your area... Toledo, OH (Autotrader said where...) http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/1306831671.html http://detroit.craigslist.org/ctd/1295060446.html

Q: should i buy this 2008 hyundai sonata?
its a 1 owner, 17500 miles, gls, not the v6, i talked to the dealer and i should be able to get it for 12000 out the door. the only thing i'm worried about is the bumper to bumper warranty only covers it until july 2010, since i'm not the first owner. what do you think?

A: The basic warranty on any Hyundai is 5 yr/60k miles. The powertrain warranty is reduced to 5 yr/60k miles for the second owner (the normal is 10 yr/100k miles). Not sure why you would only be covered until July 2010. Either way, the 2008 Sonata was rated one of the top sedans by Consumer Reports. It's a solid choice. As long as it checks out fine by a mechanic, you shouldn't have any problems.

Q: Does anyone know when the Sonata 2010 YG will go on sale in the U.S?
I'm about to purchase the Sonata 2009 GLS but I recently found out that Hyundai will be unveiling the newly designed Sonata 2010 in the United States! It almost looks like a Genesis!! I feel like if I get the 2009 Sonata, my car would appear so outdated when the new 2010 comes out. But because I'm doing the Cash for Clunker program, I don't have enough time to wait around for the new model because funds may run out. So I was wondering if anyone knew the exact or estimate date they will arrive at dealerships. Some of the Hyundai dealerships I've been to already are cleaning out the Sonatas from their lot to prepare for the new model. I'm so excited!!

A: I have bad news for you...the reason that lots are low on the 09 Sonata is because the 2010 has not been released yet and production has stopped on the 09. HOWEVER, the YG Sonata will not be released until the 2011 model year. The 2010 Sonata is a carryover model and will remain unchanged from the 09.

Q: How reliable are the Hyundai Sonata's in Egypt?
Hyundai offers a 2000 cc (2.0 liter) 4 cylinder Sonata for the Egyptian market, auto transmission for about EGP 170,000 (not cheap!) 1) are these locally assembled? 2) what is the quality of the car? (poor assembly versus world class?) 3) are they easy to resell and do they hold their values? 4) a new body style will be sold late 2010 as the 2011 model. Is it expected that the car value will significantly depreciate once a newer model is on the market? Thanks in advance.

A: i personally dont like it . many have it , but not me ! all new cars are depreciated once a new car is on the market . good luck in your choice

Q: What are your thoughts on Hyundai and Kia?
ok, well I have looked at the 2010 Hyundai Tucson, 2011 Kia Sorento, and the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, and I love them!!! I was wondering are they good vehicles? has Hyundia really stepped up their quality in the past years, because I remember in high school just looking at Hyundai as being really low end cars. but now they look very nice! Oh, and 1 extra question, is the Kia Optima just Kia's sonata oh, and another question, will the Kia Optima get a 2011 restyle?

A: Hyundai quality is WAY up just in the past 4 years. It was part of a corporate plan, and they have achieved it. You can drive a Hyundai which will be well built and reliable, and the cars can compete in their respective classes. Where as before a Hyundai was a "compromise car," now its a car people buy because they actually want one. Good price, good car. Reliability has steadily improved over the years, but build quality and refinement lagged further behind. With improvements in its manufacturing process and quality control, and continued improvements in reliability, many Hyundai models are viable alternatives to its Japanese competition. The newest Elantra for example typically outscores the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla in quality surveys and has been Consumer Reports top rated small car. Kia on the other hand is still lagging. They are ahead of where Hyundai was several years ago, but it varies from model to model with most still a couple of steps behind. Hyundai owns 40% of Kia now, so some Hyundai engineering and parts are being shared, making a Kia a better car. But if considering Kia i would stick to the newer designs such as the Forte, new Sorento, and Soul. The Forte and Sorento especially have a lot of the "New Hyundai" built into them. The Optima is a mirror of the outgoing Sonata. Its nothing special and is average in its class, but still worth a look as a bargain.Suspension noise over rough pavement has been a noted sore spot with this car, however. Hyundai has some things going against it still. Brand image, resale value, and perception by more then a few that its a cheaply made car. But the new line up is solid, just take a look and drive some for yourself. And more new and redesigned models are coming. But if you get one some will still snicker, so you have to take comfort in being ahead of the curve a bit. Some wonder why I bought a '08 Elantra instead of a comparable Civic or Corolla? Its simple: I liked the Elantra and what it offered, and its just as well built as any car in its class. And i have not been disappointed by it after 30,000+ miles of solid, trouble free driving. IMO Hyundai is a smart choice if buying a car new or used. Especially slightly used. Just get the best deal possible to make up some for lower resale value. If that matters to you. But you always want to get the best deal possible, anyway. Kia, you still have to tread lightly with imo.

Q: Mitsubishi Galant VS Hyundai Sonata?
What do you think is better. Both are 2010 models. the more detailed the more chances you will be picked best answer

A: Galants are built to last no problems with mine

Q: Best of these 2010 midsize sedans for single mom with infant?
I need to trade in my 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier for a larger, newer model. My priorities, in order, are safety, reliability, and cost (both in terms of purchase price and fuel/maintenance). Anyone have an opinion on which of these models would be best, or any comments to share on any of them? Nissan Altima Chevrolet Malibu Hyundai Sonata Honda Accord Mazda 6 The Toyota Camry would have been on the list, but the accelerator recall issues scare me.

A: TOYOTA CAMRY IS NUMBER ONE JUST WAIT FOR ONE OR TWO WEEKS IT WILL BE OVER WITH , DO NOT WORRY IT IS NOT GM OR FORD OR CHRYSLER THEY WILL NEVER BACK UP THEIR PRODUCT LIKE TOYOTA DID , AT LEAST TOYOTA SUSPEND THE SALES FOR YOUR SAFETY, IF IT WAS ONE OF THE BIG 3 THEY WONT CARE TRUST ME . SO 1ST CHOICE TOYOTA CAMRY 2ND CHOICE NISSAN ALTIMA 3RD CHOICE HONDA ACCORD ( WIND NOISE WHEN DRIVE OVER 65 MILES ON THE HIGHWAY) THE REST IS GARBAGE DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY OR TIME .

Q: Which car would you rather have and why?
A 2010 Hyundai Sonata or VW Jetta

A: Limited or Basic model? be specific when giving out a question. I will pick the Hyundai Sonata V6 Limited. Cheaper to maintain and the cost/warrenty is outstanding. It's a real value and there reliability has went up beating most GM vehicles and even Nissan. All facts go to Consumer reports. They don't lie, if they did then they'll go bankrupt. Look for yourself, any diehard American car fans or VW fans will deny, but there not the testers are they?

Q: Parent bought me a car! What should i do?
Ok when i turned 16 my mom said that she would buy me car :D. she gave me a price range and i showed her some reasonable cars under that price like honda, toyota, etc. anyways my birthday came and she popped up with a car (a sports car she has owned 3 of these previously) 1998 eclipse. my first thought was this a type of car she likes go figure but i accepted the car and appreciated it until 2 yrs later after it kept breaking down and became useless. So here i am on a quest for another car! (btw i had been using her car to get to work basically we were sharing or i was hitching for a 1yr lol) i turned 19 and by this time school started and i really needed a car of my own. i asked my mom she once again gave me a budget (this car i would be 4rm a dealership and i would be making the payments) so since i was paying this time around i searched for nice used cars with good mileage that i could afford (i work part-time and my average check is $320). I gave her 4 of my previous pay stubs that she could go by. She took me to a dealer in which none of the cars were in my range so i assumed that she was planning to put in some $. anyways i found this one car, it was nice, and then we left and i continued to search. 19th bday comes and she pops up with a 2010 hyundai sonata priced at a little over $19,000. im thinking i cant afford that, i didnt want a new car, im sure she's going to help me. WRONG! i am now stuck with a $320 car payment & a $157 insurance payment for the next 6 yrs!! there was no down payment on the car. i talked to my mother about it and these were my options: 1. she will pay for two months IF i let her drive it the whole two months 2. i kiss her behind and she will help SOME 3. she gets the car and i get her old car which probably wont make it to 2010! personally i think she just wanted the car for herself or for me to be stuck for 6 yrs!! f.y.i. it is in her name of course i dont have credit!! i have already paid for 3 months and it is very stressing i cant save a dime! These are the options i prefer: 1. i sell it for pay off 2. i get her old car, move out, and save for the car i want

A: Okay...take a deep breath and calm down. How long is it until your 21st birthday? (Your insurance rates will come down some at that time.) In the meantime, see if she will agree to have your name put on the title with hers, so that you have joint ownership. Also, if you are eligible to join a credit union (almost everyone is, especially if there is one where you live with the word "community" in the name) join the credit union, and Mom can join, too. Make sure you keep up the payments. Then inquire at the credit union about refinancing the car. If they will do this, your payments should go down, because your interest rate will go down, and the credit union will send a check to the current lender for the pay-off balance. Not only will this help to make the car easier to pay for, and will help you build a credit history, and you get to keep the car. There is a hitch with the idea of selling the Sonata for the pay-off balance...and that is that you are likely "upside-down" in the car, meaning you owe more than the car is worth. Good Luck!!

Q: which car i should buy as my 1st car ?
1.Hyundai Sonata 2010 2.Hyundai Tucson 2010 xi 2.Kia Forte 2010 im lae 23y

A: I don't see what you do in this Korean made junk. They have consistently been poor performers comparatively & their resale have always been below average. All day I would buy a Chevy Equinox or a Honda Accord over this stuff.

Q: Sonata commercial question?
What were the piano pieces that were played and mentioned in the Hyundai Sonata commercial? Here's the link: http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/hyundai-super-bowl-commercial-2010-2010-super-bowl-44-ad-hyundai/6f0a3f535146b5d9ed786f0a3f535146b5d9ed78-1713851598164 They mentioned two sonata names but I can't find them online.

A: The Mozart one in B flat major (No.16) is the only one played in the commercial (K.570). The other piano sonatas in that key are the early K.281 (No.3) and K.570 (No.16). Schubert wrote 3 in A minor, D.537, D.784, D.845 - none appear in the commercial. Edit: Correction - it is the K.570 sonata - as Acrenrac said (well done sir)
