Q: Is the 2010 Kia Soul good for a first car?
I really like the Kia Soul and was thinkin about getting it for my first car, but I heard kias are not good cars, but then again I heard that they are. So if you guys can help me please do!
A: Just bought one. Got a Molten Sport. It is a beautiful car. The safety features are incredible and the warranty Kia offers is one of the best on the market. It is deceptive though. It looks small on the outside, but very roomy on the inside. The only downside is that the back seat isn't the most comfortable. If you don't drive around with a loaded car, it's not a huge deal.
As an alternative in that price range, you might want to look at the Mazda3 hatchback as well. Very nice verhicle. Good pick up and go and a very smooth ride.
Q: how much will a used 2010 kia soul cost in 2 years?
im gonna be 16 in two years i really like the kia soul and it starts around 14k so i just want some people to give me an idea about how cheap a used one will be
A: 17-20k is about right for the price, and that's close to a base model. In 2 years, I'm willing to say that you'll be able to get one used for about 10-14k, depending on the market then, but that's just my opinion based on how cars lose their value now. You can buy a 2010 Mercury Milan for 29K, but the second you drive it off the lot, it loses about 5K in value. I paid 24K for my 2006 Milan brand new then. Now, 3 years later, you can pick one up for about 11-15K used with lower mileage.
Q: What do you prefer, 2010 Kia Forte Koup or the 2010 Kia Soul?
A: I think the Kia Soul has really neat styling, and it looks like it is a responsive little car that is great for the city and everyday commuting.
Q: What's the song on the 2010 Kia Soul commericial?
It goes like:
Front, back side to side. Front front back back side to side. Or something like that! It;s from the FIRST commercial!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A: the song is 'do what you do' by marz feat. pack and mumiez.....it's really hard to find tho

Q: Is it worth to buy a 2010 Kia Soul with a Salvage Title?
Okay. Well I need to buy a car today. And I found a Kia Soul (2010). And they are only asking $12,000 with $3995 down. I'm thinking of getting it, but not 100% sure due to the fact that it has a salvage title. I mean, I went and looked at it, and its the upgraded model that would usually go for $17,000 if it DIDNT have a salvage title. Ive looked at it, drove it, listened to it run.. Everything SEEMS okay. I'm just wondering, would it be a waste? Anyone ever have experiences with a "new" salvage title vehicle? Oh, and by the way, it has only 4000 miles on it.
Thanks!
And, is $12,000 a good price? Or should I try to get it a good bit lower?
It is considered "salvage" because it was in an accident in October of 2009. Because its a new car, insurance company's will turn it to "salvage" if it is at least 25% damaged. I mean, I didn't even KNOW it was a salvage car, until the dealer told me after I looked at it. It looks brand new!
While I was there yesterday, I ran all of the stuff with my insurance company, and my monthly payments only $61. So the insurance isn't an issue at all!
I didnt mean it is worth 17k new, I mean, if this car was USED and DIDNT have a salvage title, it would be worth 17k. This thing would be $20k NEW.
I bought it. Had it checked out, and its as good as new. Air bags were replaced, a whole new engine was put in. Only thing wrong was there was a little leak in something, but I already got it fixed. If it were in an accident, they must have put it back together PERFECTLY! The guy who checked it out says he can tell it got into an accident, but there isnt anything to be worried about. I bought it for 12k, and put 4k down and got on the lot financing. My insurance is only $59 a month and it covers everyone who drives it. Thanks for the help, but 80% of you were very wrong.
A: these guys dont know enough about this to be comenting. ive been buying and selling salvage vehicles for over 10 yrs. the salvage depends on the insurance company. every insurance company is different. has nothing to do with % of damage. could be that the adjuster just doesnt want to deal with it so he stamps it salvage. who knows. % of damage is a myth. just have it checked out by a body shop. they can tell you if the damage was like an accident. couldve been a bent fender. ive seen it before.. ive seen cars demolished by trains and have good titles..
why wont the dealer tell you what was wrong with it?
it couldve been a theft where there was no damage.. or a flood, flood could be up to hubcaps. if it was under it wouldnt run. it could be anything. most likely a theft if its that new. no matter how good they clean it you can still smell the musty smell if it was a flood. i think you could get them talked down to a better deal than that also. if they are selling it for $12k.they only paid $6k for it.. and a salvage isnt inly worth 50%, the other guy has no idea either. you can get a loan for a salvage for 75% of its value, so obviously he is wrong... better than that if you have good credit. so that is why this place is selling it for about $12k.. type in the vin# in google, it might tell you which auction they got it from and what the damage was.
Q: 2010 Kia Soul questions...?
So for my birthday i got a neon license plate frame for my 2010 Kia soul...ive been trying to get this thing to work for about a month now hooking it up to my brake lights and what not but it just wont. there are three wires, a red one a white one and a black ground one. one attaches to the positive brake wire and one to any positive brake wire. which one is which? second i want to get spinners, are they still cool? my friends tell me no...
A: your problam is the badge.... its a KIA..... and no matter what u do u wont make it cool..... so insead of buying spinners buy a new car...
Q: How much would you pay for the Kia Soul?
How much would you pay for the 2010 Kia SOUL+ which has a base price of $15,195. I am planning to buy the soul but was wondering what everyone else would pay. I offered $15,500 CASH OUT THE DOOR but the sales person gave me $17,650 So would any of you pay 17k for a soul + or would the 17k rather be used to buy the Sport. In my opinion the soul shouldnt be worth more than 15k
A: I would never pay more than the manufacturer's MSRP. If the dealer is adding to the price, walk away. A good way to find a fair price or true market value for new cars is to go to edmunds.com.
Q: which is better by quality, features & appearance: 2009 toyota corolla vs 2010 kia soul?
i'm deciding to get one from the two. i'm confused & needs a lot of help
A: I would get the Toyota. You know what you are getting - Great reliability, resale and quality and an average looking vehicle.
Kia's are ok, but they depreciate very quickly. In addition, the Soul just came out so you never know what kind of little kinks need to be worked out.
Q: I have a 2010 Kia Soul ! and I want to know if I can change 18" rims for smaller ones, like 16"?
225 45 18 is the tire size currently. I was horrified to find out that snow tires (and all seasons) cost between $180 - $250 PER TIRE!! OMG. I didn't realize when I bought the vehicle that 18" wheels meant big bucks, and now I need to get snow tires and CANNOT afford $1,000 for tires. Can anyone tell me if it is safe/ok to purchase smaller rims/wheels for this vehicle?
I appreciate any info. :-)
A: you could but it'd be riding lower as well.
go on ebay or tirerack.com
alot of shope over price tires.
i went to get a quote recently about how much top of the line winter tires were, they said 750 at least, i found them on tirerack.com for 447.
Q: I want to trade in my 06 kia spectra for the 2010 soul?
I still make payments monthly. What happens money wise will my monthly payment be higher or lower if i traded it in???
A: If you're "upside down" on the Spectra, that is if you owe more on the car than it's worth. Then they will just tack that extra amount onto your new car payment. If your Spectra isn't paid off, Then I would not trade it in, you'll just be taking on additional debt. If effect you'll be paying for two cars, yet only have one car. Keep in mind Kia depreciate very quickly as well.
I think this a bad idea. Wait until you've at least paid off the Spectra before trading it in.
Q: What do you Kia Soul owners think?
What do you guys think of the 2010 Kia Souls? I'm thinking of getting the Kia Plus or Exclaim, the Sport is not for me.
What are the pros and cons of this car?
THANKS!
A: sorry the kia owners cant make it to there computers to reply they are broken down somwhere on the side of the road..... please choose a different car... im begging you...
Q: Should we get Chevy Aveo or a Kia Soul? Help! Need info!?
We drive about 140 miles a day so high mpg is really important.
We don't want it to look weird.(:
Price is a definite concern. Preferably under $15,000.
Roomy is great.
I personally prefer a hatchback trunk.
Which brand is a better car, like which will be very reliable? Kia or Chevy?
What should we doooo?
I'll attach photos.

Chevy Aveo: http://www.ridelust.com/wp-content/uploads/2009_chevrolet_aveo5_3.jpg
Thanks!(:
Well, the reason for those is that we were in an unexpected car wreck and totaled our car about 3 weeks ago and totaled our car. Also, we hit a deer around February and totaled a car. So we now have two car payments now. So money is tight. We're going for cheap&reliable.
A: The Aveo is actually a Daewoo product. I wouldn't touch one after seeing, driving and reading the owner reviews. Kia is making strides to improve quality but again they are a low end vehicle which does not have a good reputation. There are others available that would serve you better. Check sources like Edmunds.com for what is available and see what owners have to say about them.
Q: How do you remove scratches from the plastic interior of your car?
I have brand new 2010 Kia Soul that my husband tried to fit to bikes in the back of. When he was putting them in he accidently scratched up the plastic interir of the door. If it was on the bottom and I could not see everyday I would not care but it is right on top. Does anyone have any idea how to get these scratches out or at least minimize them at least. Please help me.
A: could try sanding with very fine sandpaper then rubbing compound to finish, just go slowly to see if it works.
Q: KIA owners... past or present, pros & cons?
I am looking into the new 2010 Kia Soul. I have had a few cars already, but never a Kia. I am wondering how you like or dislike your Kia. How does it run? Are completely satisfied with your KIA? Please tell me the year and model of your KIA and if you still currently have it or if you got rid of it and if so, then why? Thank you for all your answers- anything at all is appreciated!
A: It's a good deal if you are planning on keeping it FOREVER.
They've got a great warranty, 5 yr 60k bumper to bumper and 10yr 100k powertrain. That means that basically every really expensive part is covered for 100 thousand miles and most every other repair is covered for 60 thousand miles. Pretty good compared to the crap 3 yr 36k warranties that most car companies offer.
The problem, as others have pointed out, is the resale value. Kias take a huge hit on value the minute they drive off the lot. One big reason is that the 10yr 100k warranty doesn't transfer to a new owner. The second reason is simply because of their somewhat lack luster appeal, the highly stylized Soul might change that lack luster appeal and it could hold value better than past models. I wouldn't bet the bank on it but there is a real possibility here.
Reliability is less than average with both Kia and their stablemate, Hyundai (Hyundai purchased Kia in 2003 and now all Kias are rebadged Hyundais. If you don't believe me, check under the hood for the Hyundai "H" logo on the engine.) Kia's long warranty might be something that's highly valuable as the car ages, I'd stay away from a used one for just this reason.
So, long story short, it's a good car to buy new if, and only if, you plan to keep it for ten years. If you get rid of it early, expect huge loss in value. Keep it for ten years, true, it will only be worth two or three thousand dollars, but so would the ten year old Cobalt or Focus or Nissan Versa etc.
Q: Who classifies cars for insurance purposes in the US?
I'm asking because I recently got a 2010 Kia Soul, and my insurance papers state it as an SUV, which it is definitely not. It's more like a hatchback or wagon. And I'm not sure who would do the official classification for the insurance companies.
A: I really don't know of any one except the manufacturer that built it because that vehicle is advertised as a (Hatchback/SUV Model).....
