Q: 2010 Toyota Corolla: Oil change synthetic or regular oil?
A few months back I purchased a brand new 2010 Toyota Corolla and the first oil change is coming up. What type of oil would you suggest/you are using in this car. Also if it matters I live in the northeast (cold winters). I have read a few things from use synthetic every oil change (if memory serves 2010 corolla manual stated this...synthetic is pricey though), to every other oil change, or lastly using regular oil only. What to do? Could using regular oil as opposed to synthetic really harm the car? My thinking is oil is oil.Let me know what you guys think as I am confused as hell. Thanks BTW I also have another Toyota (Camry w/ 237,000 miles) and have been using 10w-30 Quaker State regular oil since being bought brand new w/o any problems. I am in the mind set if it ain't broken don't fix it...but I also don't want to mess up the new car.

A: go with what the manual states or you could void your warranty, otherwise synthetic is more expensive but you can go 1-2 thousand kms extra between oil changes than if you were to go with conventional.

Q: What kind of motor oil does a 2010 Toyota Corolla take?

A: Check on link for type and qty, it depends of type of engine;http://www.castrol.com/castrol/castrolhomepage.do?categoryId=3205

Q: I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla-S with P205/55R16 All Season Tires, can I install 15" Winters, if so, what size?
Is it recommended I stick with 16s for the winter or can I go to 15s to save a few bucks. I was even told it is better to put 15" tires on for the winter.

A: yes you definitely can. the Corolla CE comes with 15 inch rims, so you can defenitely use the tire size of the corolla CE, which is 195/65/R15. as the other person said, a narrower tire does work better in the winter, so its a good thing to downsize.

Q: 2009 Ford Focus SES or 2010 Toyota Corolla Ce?
I could get a fully loaded 09 Focus for the same price as a pretty bare boned Corolla. I'm having a hard time deciding...I know ppl think the world of toyota but reviews have shown that the focus is a good car too. I think the focus is nicer but the toyota might be true to it's reputation. What would you guys do?

A: The 2009-2010 Ford Focus is a copy of the popular 2004-2009 Mazda 3, which proved to be better than the new 09 Toyota Corolla in a comparison test on www.edmunds.com/insideline in the videos section. That is why the new Ford Focus has good reviews. Ford owns 20% of Mazda so they can use Mazda parts in their cars. The Ford Focus has the same suspension and similar handling and weight and and many other mechanical parts as the Mazda, making it a very reliable car. According to the 2009 April Issue of Comsumer Reports magazine, Honda is the most reliable, with Subaru as 2nd and Toyota as third and Mazda was in 4th place. So the Ford Focus, being a Mazda 3, is a great car. You can't go wrong with the Focus or Corolla.

Q: Is 16,800 a good price for a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE?
I was wondering if this was a good price for the LE with no sunroof.

A: Yeah, but check for any fees, and other stupid stuff like that.

Q: I plan to buy a 2010 Toyota Corolla. It comes with warranty. Do paying more for an extended a good idea?

A: NO! Most of the things they cover are things that don't break, or they only give you another year out of manufacturer warranty. We have people complaining all the time, "why did I buy this warranty, what good is it?" Then every once in a while something is actually covered. Besides there isn't much that goes wrong with corollas.

Q: How much for the NEW 2010 Toyota Corolla S sounds just about right?

I bought a 2010 corolla, from day one the brakes are very low. the saleman told me its the ABS. I had the brakes adjusted by the dealer, the parking brakes was adjusted also. The brakes feels better than before. But there is still problem, once a while it makes a scraping sound, Sometimes, the brake petal will still goes down after the car came to a complete stop. A: FYI there was a recall on the braking system do to lock ups in cold weather... get that checked out with the dealer

Q: Which is a better car 2009 toyota corolla or 2010 mazda 3?
My parents might get a new car and when i leave for college they might give it to me. Which is a better car? I heard the corolla has bad highway steering?

A: This will start a flame war or hopefully end now. It depends on the purpose preferences and price. Personally i loved my toyota corolla however never owning a mazda i might prefer it more. The toyota corolla will be able to go faster and be a little more spacious. The mazda 3 will be better on gas. Putting away bias i'd take the mazda. keeping my bias i'd never turn down a toyota corolla very dependable still good on gas and very "sporty" for a fuel efficient 4 cyl.

Q: how do i fold the back seats on a 2010 toyota corolla?
thanks!

A: It will be in the owners manual.

Q: 2010 Mazda 3 iTouring or 2010 Toyota Corolla S?
I had a 2010 Toyota Corolla S that was totaled. Now in the market for another new car. Originally, I was just going to go for another Corolla. Now I am wondering if I should look into any other cars. If you have a 2010 Mazda any input would be great =) The new Mazda 3s actually have better government crash ratings, but the Corollas weren't bad either. It has more power and looks better than than the Corolla. There is only one thing keeping me from deciding on the Mazda completely. I searched online and J.D. Power & Associates predicts a 4.0/10.0 reliability vs. 8.0/10.0 for the Toyota Corolla!

A: Corolla is one of the world best selling and most dependable cars.

Q: Is 2010 Toyota Corolla CE worth to buy?
I am looking into buying a new car. 2010 Toyota Corolla CE with Enhanced package after GST and administration fee are price at $22039.50. I trade in my Chevy Aveo 2004 at 85000km for $3000.00 and end up with Approx 18800.00 CDN. Is it a good deal? Should I negotiate for the price? How do I do that? What is the fair price for that and How do I ask for lower price. Please help!! Should I purchase any warrenty with it?

A: You'll get more money if you sell your car rather than trade. Don't buy an extended warranty on a car, especially a Corolla. It is highly unlikely that you will have significant problems within 5 years or 100k(miles). The Corolla is boring and overpriced (though it is a reliable car), take a look at a Mazda3 or a Focus instead.
