Q: How much is a toyota rav4 worth?
Im getting my car next year in 2010, and i was gonna get the Toyota Rav4 2005. Does anyone know how much it will cost then?
Oh and its going to be a used car.
pleaseee help!
A: Chris's answer is best.
The cost of a car depends upon 2 factors--how old it is and how much mileage. because mileage is a factor to explain how much it's been used or driven.
Obviously, the less driven and the newer car is going to be worth more $$$.
Check the newspaper in your local area and just look at what people are trying to sell their Rav4's for. It gives you an idea of what people expect for them in your area. But be careful, because people have way diff prices for what they really are. But it's still a good guide.
I'd expect that it'd cost $7,000 average condition up to $10,000 for really best Rav4 condition.
Q: what is better Toyota Rav4 or Hyundai Tucson for 2010?
A: 2010 Subaru Forester highly rated in this category.
the Toyota is not recommended at this time until the gas pedal problems have been solved.
the 2010 Hyundai Tucson is totally new, redesigned for the 2010 model year.
if you need a real 4 wheel drive I'd look at the subaru, if your not going in the snow or the mud either of the others are fine.
Q: Toyota sales suspension: is it safe to buy a RAV4 made in Japan?
On Toyota's own site, they state that they are suspending sales of 2009-2010 RAV4 vehicles. But our dealer says that doesn't apply to vehicles made in Japan. It seemes to me that Toyota would be shouting from the rooftops if some of their vehicles were safe to buy, so this seems fishy to me. Does anyone know anything???
A: At this point I would take anything Toyota is saying with a grain of salt. The problem seems to be a design flaw and not a assembly issue so it really doesn't matter where they were made. News is starting to come out that lower level executives were aware of the pedal issue early on but were too afraid to escalate the issue up to their bosses due to fear of being the bearer of bad news. And now the recall extends to Europe and China - might as well be global - which I suspect will be very soon.
Q: 2007 Acura RDX vs New Toyota RAV4?
I am currently in the process of buying a car. I have found two cars in my area that i am very interested in; a 2010 RAV4 and a 2007 Acura RDX. The RDX is unbelievably loaded, it has everything including backup camera, navigation, and leather seats. The RAV4 has leather seats, but no navigation or extras and costs 5,000-10,000 dollars more. The dealer (whom i know well and trust) offered to sell me the Acura for 23,500. What should i buy? Things i am concerned about are premium fuel and gas mileage. The car is for my 16 year old son, so insurance cost is a factor as well (i assume the RAV4 would cost more to insure comprehensively).
A: Hi. My 20 year old daughter presently owns a 2004 Rav4 and she loves it. I say this because it shows that its a well made car. We haven't had to do anything to it in the two years that she has had it. I would opt for the 2010 Rav4 because of the warranty that you will have. The 2007 RDX's warranty will run out soon and if anything happens to it your bills to repair it will be high. I also think that the Acura might be too flashy for a 16yr old. It might draw too much attention to him.
Q: Scratch and slight dent on 2010 Rav4 repair price?
Was pulling up my driveway and accidentally slid up against my metal mailbox a bit. The scratch is about a foot long and the dent of it is very small. Just wondering an approximate price to fix this? Should I go to Toyota? Or maybe an individual car shop? Thank you.
A: Your looking at 250.00.
But the color and where the damage plays a big role in the price.
Why? Because where the damage is. Is it going to require blending into the next panel. And color Is the color a Tri stage or single stage.
But can't really say.
But this is a start. Labor should start at 45.00 an hour. but this will vary from state to state.
But always shop around.
Good luck.
Q: 15 inch scratch and slight dent from mailbox on Rav4, price to fix?
The area of my car where this is located is the back passenger door to the area where the gas hole would be. Its a 2010 Toyota, and I'm just wondering the price to fix this at a local auto body shop. Tried calling up some places for quotes but they don't do it over the phone. The scratch is split into two separate scratches, one being about 10 inches, another being about 5 inches. The dent is very slightly in. The mailbox was made out of metal. Price? Thanks.
A: my wag is 250 dollars...sorry for a little scratch but i just had the same done...backed into a flower pot,,,at motel....if metal is dented maybe a hundred more,,but just scratch,,fill it..sand it...fill it..sand it...prime it,,sand it,,,prime it,,,sand it,,,paint it,,,buff it our,,,clean up pverspray,,coffee...soda... all costs
Q: A small leaf fell into my car's defogger vent. Where did it end up?
I was sitting in my car with my window open when the wind blew a small leaf into my car. It landed in my front defogger vent and ended up falling deeper down into the system. I tried blasting it out with air by turning the defogger all the way up, but it didn't get the leaf out... I did hear it rattle around in there though.
The car's brand new, so I'm real obsessive-compulsive about keeping it clean. I wanna get that leaf outta there! Where could it have possibly ended up? In the air conditioning filter, maybe?
PS: I have a 2010 Toyota RAV4, if that helps...
A: Listen to Leann. The "know it all" doesn't! The defrost vents are downstream of the filter!
The leaf won't cause a problem. I have had to enter quite a few HVAC boxes over the years, and you would be surprised what all falls down in the with no ill effects. I have found pens and pencils, jewelry. french fries, and even feminine products!
Trying to blow it out, or digging for it with makeshift tools can cause problems. There are foam covered doors you don't want to damage, or dislodge.
Q: Is it best to trade in your car for a new one after your car's warranty runs out?
I currently have a 2003 Toyota Rav4 that has been running great. My warranty will run out in 2010 or when I hit 70,000 miles (it currently has 42,000 miles on it). Is it better to trade in your car right when the warranty runs out, or should you just keep the car if it's been running great anyway? OR should I trade it in before my warrant runs out (the warranty is transferrable) because it might increase the value of my car?
A: I put lots of miles on my cars and this is what i do. If the car runs great, is dependable, I like it and is giving me no trouble I keep it, when the repairs become frequent and start to cost more than new car payments I get rid of it. I'm not talking about normal routine repairs such as brakes, wipers, oil changes and such, just major stuff.
Q: Are 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sports any good?
I am considering buying a Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. Do any of you know if these are good quality, long lasting, easy to maintain cars? Any car I get now, I will hope to have for the next 10 years. I only drive 7 to 8 thousand miles a year. My other considerations are the Toyota Rav4 & the Honda CRV. I know they are in a different class, but I just want to get something that will hold cargo get descent mileage and last a long time. I would consider the forester, but it still looks like a family wagon to me. The CRV looks a little less soccer mom-esc. Thanks.
A: Subarus are the best street vehicles for snow and ice driving on the planet. They easily out perform larger heavier four wheel drive SUVs and even the much pricier Audi Quattro automobiles. I both bought -- and sold -- a Mitsubishi Montero during the time I've owned my older Outback. I sold it in part because it was so much worse in the snow than the Outback.
I currently have a 1997 Outback wagon with 138,000 miles on the odometer and a 2008 Outback wagon with 40,000 miles. I bought both new. The 1997 runs as well as when it was new, and almost looks as good. Excluding regular maintenance and wear items like tires, I have spent about $1,000 on minor repairs over all these years on the car.
My wife drives the 2008 Outback all over the state for her work. So far, its shop time has involved only scheduled maintenance.
We owned am Impreza before we bought the older Outback. It was a great car, with seemingly more room inside than possible, given its exterior dimensions. It was even better in snow than the Outbacks.
Q: Im 17 and need help with a car choice!!?
yes, a 'new' car
my parents have had bad experience with 'used' cars so they want to get me a new one.
range is about 20k
heres what ive looked at/test drove
--Mazda3i touring 2010
--Toyota Corolla XRS 2009
--Rav4 2009
--CRV 2WD 2010
--Toyota Camry 2009
basically its against big car or small
i live east of united states. mild winters
A: I'd go for the Mazda3 or Corolla. Unless you really need an SUV I don't see why you would want the expense of driving one.
The Camry is a grandpa car. Not the car I would choose for a 17 year old girl.
Q: I'm 17 and got into a "major at fault accident" in MA W/I 5 months of my JOL. What is 4 points on my license?
I'm a 17 year old female in Massachusetts signed up with Commerce Insurance.
The accident happened on January 12, 2010 and I just got a note from the insurance company that deemed me more than 50% at fault. I got my permit [ironically] on January 12, 2009 and I got my license on August 12, 2009.
There were three vehicles involved in the accident. My perspective of what had happened was that the first car was hit by the car in front of me as we were slowing down. This did not allow adequate amount of time for me to slow down since this caused the second car to automatically stop and disrupt the "slowing down process." "My car" hit the second. Since the second was a Toyota Rav4 and mine was a smaller, 2006 95 Saab, my nose dove, and was crushed under the rear of the Toyota.
After the accident, the first car stayed hardly 10 minutes before she left without getting out of the car to make sure everyone was alright or to see the damage of her own car; I believe her to be guilty of the accident and not using proper turning signals or stopping adequately.
I am listed as an occasional driver, because it is actually my father's car and I had borrowed it to go to school this day [I am allowed to take the cars on Tuesdays for school].
The police report says that I caused the second car [Rav4] to hit the first car, a domino effect - but looking at the damage to the front of the second car, I don't believe that I could have caused the second to hit the first so hard.
I got a warning on the day of the accident - I was told that for "right now" I get to keep my license and that I did not have to pay any fines for it.
As of "now-now", they are saying I am going to get 4 points on my license. What does this mean? How much is my insurance going to go up? Will I lose my license? Should I appeal the 4 points and explain my side of the story?
A: You should count yourself lucky they only gave you some fault instead of 100%. Let me quote you here. "This did not allow adequate amount of time for me to slow down ..." which means you were driving too fast for conditions, and didn't allow yourself adequate room to stop.
As to what you should do now, if I were you I'd discuss it with the person best equipped to give you useful information, your own insurance agent.
Good luck.
Q: What car should i get?! I can't make up my mind!?
I have a few cars in mind. I'm buying a car for its quality, aka: Honda/toyota. (my opinion)
I'm an 18 year old male, into style definitely. With the v-neck and jeans, or flanel with jeans. I go to a cal state.
Knowing that...
My plans for the car is to lease and have the buy out option afterwards. I know I'll be having the car for 6~ years :|
I want my payments to be $260 at most a month, with a 2k-3k down payment.
From Honda, I like the 09 Accord coupe... if I lease, hopefully I can lease the car for $260 a month.
The 09 Honda Accord.. I think they're real nice! And great on gas, too.
Then, a 09 Honda Civic. I love the civics, but I have a feeling a newer model of the civics are coming out in 2010, and I'd be really upset about that... :(
Now Toyotas..
09 Yaris 4 door hatchback. GREAT on gas! And i love the style, especially since I'm into the whole european english style. Its very roomy for its size, and it seems like a fun car to drive.. (But could I last in this car for 6+ years?-- i'm afraid i might get tired of this car after a few years..)
Then, the 09 Toyota Corolla.. I love it.. but all my family members drive a corolla already.... haha.
The 09 Camry... its a family car, but its a nice car in my opinion. I'm in college.. so maybe not.. hehe
Then the 09 Toyota Rav4.. I think they're a nice car idk! Theyre ok on gas.
The 09 Solara.. But I think thats more of a girly car, no?
And thats about it..
So what do you think I should get?
A: I would choose an Accord coupe or and Accord simply for their excellent reliability, great styling and available features. The Accord coupe looks pretty sporty, too.
