A: Measurements are not sufficient as it is a 4x4 ratios will have to match. Try to call or visit your local Toyota they will ask for both VI numbers to check on their computer..

Put brand new brakes and calipers on. Drove around for an hour or two last night. Drove to school this morning ,when i got to school brakes sticking again . What is it?

A: you need to clean the brake pad slider pins, possible scuz build up and the caliper pins that the caliper slides on. these can hold the calipers tight also flush the brake fluid till you can tell new fluid is coming out of the bleeders contaminated fluid may expand and eventually lock the brakes

Q: How do I replace the power steering pump pulley on a 96 Toyota Tacoma?
I need to replace the power steering pump belt on my 1996 Tacoma (4 cyl, 2.7L 4x4). I realized that the problem is the pulley that is mounted to the power steering pump. The previous owner must have removed the bolt that holds the pulley to the pump and over-torqued it when he replaced it. The bolt turns, but I can't loosen or tighten it, and the pulley is very loose. The pump works fine and I have the new belt ready to go on, so I'd rather not take it to the shop for something so small, but I can't seem to get the bolt out of there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A: That means the threads in the pump itself are stripped. Remove the pump and replace it.

A: People love toyotas! Just the parts are pretty pricey. I purchased a 92 toyota 4x4 for $1500 with no engine in it and that was a good deal at the time. Try to sell it for what you can as a parts truck and buy something cheaper that runs. People love putting chevy engines in these so its worth it to someone. Good luck!

Ok, so i was wondering what kind of rims are the best for a Toyota Tacoma years 96-00. I want a kind of rims that stick out and not inside the over fender. Of course, i will lower the car also. For your information all trucks are off road vehicles but as you may know the years 96-97 Tacoma has a style of installing an air suspension. If you have to hate you can Get the F*CK out.

A: I can't recommend a particular wheel since what looks good to me might not look good to you and vice versa. What sucks is that in many areas, they are trying to make airbag suspension illegal. In others, they already are illegal. If you plan to just lower it, I believe theat Tein and Eibach make suspension kits for them. By the way, a lot of Tacoma owners frown on lowering those trucks. the reason is because a truck is designed for work. I don't own one but I'm a big fan of them. However, I think they look sweet lowered. a buddy of mine has 1998 on IS300 wheels. It is one sweet looking ride. If you want wider wheels, maybe a Supra wheels will fit. I hopes this helps

im looking at a 96 tacoma 4x4 2.7 liter 4 cylinder. kbb on the truck in excellent is 3000. i checked the carfax its clean it has 140k miles. he said he wont go lower than 4000 even though kbb is 3k. ive looked on ebay also and these trucks are going for more than 4k for some reason. so do you think its a good price it runs good has new 31 inch tires decent shape overall fora 96. let me know what you think . thanks for any help.

A: $4000 to $5000 is a fair price.. These trucks are in high demand and well worth the money.. For what its worth.. Never trust carfax reports.. They can be misleading. With that said, have the a mechanic check it out before giving your hard earned money to someone.

A: You will be quite pleased with the Tacoma. About the only mods you REALLY need is a decent set of off road tires. That's assuming it is 4x4. Very capable, but anything will get bogged down. If you can afford it, get a winch too.
