Q: Will the Toyota recall effect the price of Camrys bought at the car auction?
Im in the market for a new car and I have a friend looking at the Detroit Auto Auction for 2008 Toyota Camry. But with this huge recall Toyota has what will happen to the prices? Will they go down because of it or will they increase? And will I even be able to buy a Camry at the auction because Toyota stopped the sale of them from all dealers? Thanks!

A: As a car dealer I can tell you as of an hour ago, MMR (auction) has pulled them from the auction lists

Q: Toyota Camry 1994 Price?
Hello, im 16 and recently got my Drivers license and have been looking for a car to purchase. This is would be my first car (not looking for anything special). Someone had a Toyota Camry 1994 up for sale down the street that caught my eye. The seller wants 2750$ for the car which seems reasonable as it has 134 thousand miles. There is supposedly no problems with the automobile. Is this a price a good deal? Thanks for your response!

A: trim? I.E coupe, sedan...? But that's not a bad deal. Try and knock him down a bit if you can.

Q: How long do you think Toyota will suspend sales? Do think they will have good incentives when they come back?
I'm just curious because I'm currently in the market for a new car and Toyota Camry was on my list of possible buys, does anyone know for how long Toyota will suspend the sale of the Camry and other models? Does anyone think when and if they start selling these models they will have great incentives? And if so what types of incentives do you think they will have? I wonder this, because if it is only going to be a few months until they start selling again, I might hold off buying if the incentive is worth it. I truly believe Toyota's are still great cars, and they just have a problem at the moment, and by suspending sales and reproduction I can tell they are committed to fixing the problem, and by doing which they still have my trust. A: call a dealer and ask if they have time frame on how long it wil take if you can wait a little while then it only works to your benefit as for the rebates it's up to toyota my guess is some money off the sticker but it will differ on the model and so forth

Q: When leasing a car, how much does one usually pay for "GAP" insurance, if it not included in payment?
Thinking about leasing a Toyota Camry LE (sale price 19,200.00) for 3 years. I'm wondering what others have paid for "GAP" insurance on similarly priced, leased, autos, or on any priced autos. My auto insurance company does not provide "GAP" insurance. Hope this is clear. Thanks.

A: My car was 21,000 and I believe I paid between 700 and 1000 for gap insurance.

Q: Will Toyota be running any special sales/promotions for the 4th of July holiday?
I am looking to purchase a 2010 Toyota Camry this weekend, but should I hold out for any upcoming 4th of July sales? Does anyone know what the sales/promotion will be for 4th of July, if any?

A: I believe their 'Red Tent' event is going to be very soon. Probably sometime around July 4th. But I wouldn't hold your breath on any special rebates or incentives for 2010 Camrys. Toyota is still trying to clear out all of the 09 Camry inventory. ** EDIT *** If you live in the SoCal area, I just checked and Toyota is currently running their "Thanks a million" sales event with up to $1,000 in rebates for the 2010 Camry (excluding hybrid).

Q: Should I buy a 1996 Toyota Camry XLE?
Hello, i have the opportunity to purchase a 96' Camry XLE with 53,000 miles. Its going up for sale in a couple days and i just wanted to know how much should be paid for a car like this. Just a few notes about the car, car is in pretty good condition, its not perfect as its 14 years old but is in good condition for the age, no rust. It is a 4 cyl, has a standard audio system, has leather interior, the color is a dark red and it does have a sunroof. I am not trilled about the 4 cyl, but is it a good car to buy and how much should i pay for it? Thanks

A: Google Kelley Blue Book and you can get all the answers on used and new car prices.

Q: 1999 Toyota Camry Solara. Are these good cars??
I recently looked at a 99 Solara for sale, recently. The only thing is that it has 150,000 miles, and it is an older car. However, Toyotas are known for their reliability and ability to reach 300,000 miles no problem with proper maintenance schedules. It is a really nice car, nice interior, nice running, test drove it, and it drove really swell. It is a 4 cylinder, automatic transmission two door, with leather interior, and I currently have a 1997 Nissan Sentra with 162,000 miles which I have had for two years, which I also bought from the same dealer who is selling this car. I have never had any problems with this dealer before, as my parents have bought cars from him from years, used. my dad purchased a 1996 chevrolet 1500 with 155000 miles and it lasted till 239000 miles until he got rid of it and bought another truck from the same dealer. should i buy it??

A: I own a 1999 Toyota Solara... I bought it 3 years ago with 150,000 ( kinda funny huh ) well I have had absolutly nooo problems. I love it, I used to have a 1991 Toyota Camry that I bought in 2000 and it ran forever without any problems.. i mean none! just change the oil every 3 months and do regular maintenance! get a carfax report just to be sure its not had any major accidents but I will never buy anything but a Toyota ever again... I have had several other cars inbetween my toyotas and have always ended up with some type of problem.. these however have not had any!!!!! I really reccomend getting it!!

Q: Used Toyota Camry - 1991 or 1994?
We are looking at two vehicles for sale. Our mechanic hasn't checked them out yet, but I'm debating as to whether or not an "old school" 1991 model or the new 1994 is better. It seems that the 1991 Camrys have very high consumer ratings, and I myself prefer the older cars. I realize about the no airbag problem, but I also know that airbags all too often don't even deploy anyway, according to my research. I also feel more comfortable behind the wheel of an older car. As far as "looks", it doesn't really mean anything to me. I need reliability above all else. I would appreciate any opinions on this. The mileage on the 1991 is 105,000. I don't yet have the mileage on the 1994. Thanks in advance.

A: There was a body style change in 1992 so the 1994 will sell for more. Both cars are old so it really shouldn't make much difference whether it is 15 years old or 18 years old. Just buy the one in the best mechanical condition.

Q: Is $500 a fair dealer trade in value for my 1999 Toyota Camry?
I'm looking at buying a new 2010 Honda Accord or 2012 Ford Fusion to replace my 1999 Toyota Camry. Both dealers told me all they could offer me was $500 in trade in. This sounds like a major rip off. The interior of the car is in excellant condition and the heating, air conditioning and radio works. The car is a 4 cylinder with 117,000 miles on it. The car has the check engine light on. In my state the car will not pass smog with the check engine light on. This repair is called the charcoal canister which would cost $500 to replace and the check engine light would be off. The back bumper of the car is a little scratched on the right. Car sales people tell me that if I sell it on my own I will only get $1000 or maybe $800. My independant mechanic seems to think I could get $2500 if I sell it on my own without fixing the charcoal canister. The sales people at both new car dealers talk to me like I'm stupid and I'm wrong.

A: Listen to your independent mechanic. The auto dealers are not willing to pay you what your Camry is worth since they are going to sell it wholesale. Sell it on your own.

Q: what do you guys think?
im interested in this 97 toyota camry that is on sale for 2800. the problem is that it has over 100,000 miles. do you guys think its a good deal (expensive)? what defects should i look for?

A: sounds like a good deal. just search online and you should find a good list of things to check for when buying a used car. 100,000 miles is nothing on a toyota.
