Q: what would cause an engine mount to break on an 2005 volkswagen golf?
In the 15 months I have had the car: The alternator, pulley and car battery have been replaced, two tyres, the electric windows in the back don't work and now the engine mount has broken. result a £3000 bill. I have walked away from the car as a single parent with three children. The dealers have taken the best part of £5000 in payments and my renault scenic in exchange. leaving me with no vehicle.

A: i`m afraid they have seen you coming an engine mounting is flexible rubber block and costs a few quid and doesn't take much fitting,i dont understand what the £3k bill was for,all of the faults or just for one, a little more info please

Q: Putting a Turbo my VW Golf???
I have a 2005 Volkswagen Golf (1.6) I am wondering if I should put in a turbo or is it worth just buying a supercharger or a car with a V6 engine? Which out of the two, would be better for my golf (turbo or supercharger)? Thanks Obviously you didn't answer my question, Andy Pany!

A: Given the speed limits and the price of petrol why on earth do you want to pour money down the drain/car just to go a bit faster, and get 'there' a bit sooner, and probably strip your tyres off sooner as well. Turbo's are for race tracks not streets. Spend your money on some thing useful.

Q: Insurance on these cars for a 18 year old? (UK)?
Well, i jus recieved my full UK licence a month ago now, im glad I got it on first go. But now I need a car.. Im not being stupid and going for cars with over a 1.4 engine.. And I'm only spending £1,500 - £2,500 on my first car. I used CompareTheMarket and Confused.com Those are very small cars, yet the insurance is VERY high?! What should I do? I want a car that is made after 2000 atleast, and I dont really like peugeot's? Which insurance company gives the most discounts to new drivers, especially drivers as young as me.. at the age of 18? Thanks for your time. P.S. Which car do you think I should go with out of that list? =D

A: I would highly recommend getting the Mazda 3. Hondas, Acuras, and Volkswagens are not as reliable as Mazda.

What car would you get with 20 000 euros? I am desperate, Ι can't make my mind up. So I need your help:2009 Volvo S40 1.6 (100bhp) luxury package 19500 euros vs the new Volkswagen Golf mk6 1.4 tsi (122bhp) Comfortline 19300 euros (both 4dr manual). I have a 2005 mercedes e class so I need a car mainly for the busy roads of my town, easy to park and rarely for small trips. If they were both new models i would surely go for the s40 but it's (s40) successor is coming next year (that's the reason of my question)
